Any guitar players out there? Bass? drums? singer maybe?
I've played guitar for goin on 9 years now, and I slap a little bass when I'm feelin funky.
If you do play some sort of musical instrument, what do you play and what kinda music do you play with said instrument?
If enough people get into this we should post some videos of our mad skills. or lack thereof.
SERIOUSLY?
Nobody plays guitar or ANYTHING? i find that hard to believe. come on now. I know i'm impatient for asking again but come on! haha
Been playing drums for about 15 years, mostly metal and rock stuff. I love double bass and tons of cymbals. Don't get too worked up about no one else replying to your thread yet, its only been about 3 hours since you made the thread lol! Give it some time I'm sure there's a few other musicians out there.
If I had a video to post I would, but I don't know how to do any of that kind of stuff...same goes for my tracks!
Haha yeah, I knew there wouldn't be many posts in only a few hours but I figured someone atleast played guitar.. Where I live you could swing a dead squirrel and hit a guitar player. =P
Murdoc plays alot of instruments, as far as I know. I use to play keyboard.
i play a tiny bit of guitar and bass, but mostly play the viola in a high school orchestra.
I've been playing drums for about 5 years now, and I can play most BTBAM songs!
I'm very proud.
Been beating the skins for 9 years. I learned with Pep Band/Rock music and still love that stuff. Louie Louie is my jam! But, since graduating, I play a lot of new age gospel, jazz, rock, and funk. I like the tech aspect that the new gospel stuff has brought to the table in the past few years as opposed to the horribly overused full-time, honky tonk nonsense that all the older songs are based around. I rotate in and out with another guy at church and we've been bouncing ideas off of each other for about three years.
I mess with rhythm guitar quite a bit. Lead is cool, but I'm more of the singer/songwriter type when it comes to this one, plus, I don't wanna be that guy who knows three lead riffs and claims to be a musician so I stick to chords and maybe a fill lick every now and then.
I learned trumpet for a while and put it down because it honestly annoyed me. I definitely wish I would have discovered Ska before I forgot nearly all of my chops.
Piano is a passion but it's also a very slow process...![]()
Harmonica (yeah, this is where you laugh) is a pretty fun one for me. It's portable, and not a whole lot of people can really saw on one.
Music is pretty much life for me.
This is interesting. Are you deaf since birth? Does seeing people appreciate music make you jealous? Do you have other ways of appreciating things (visual for instance) in ways that you believe to be similar to the way that people percieve music?Originally Posted by jhitman
