    Doing an "accelerate only" track

I'm doing tracks in which you only have to accelerate and the player would jump and go through complicated stuff and finish correctly, without steering at all.

Problem is, sometimes when I add another object or just by moving the goal line, and test again, it won't work anymore.

Please note that the object I doesn't interact with the bike at all, and when the object is deleted, the track works again.

Because of this I can only make very short tracks, because if I want to add some more at the end, the bike would just take another path, just like a butterfly effect

Is there a workaround to make this work?

Has anyone tried this kind of track?

I've heard the more you add the more the physics of the track changes. It sucks, but yea. Happens with complex physics objects too.

DrittesAuge made an awesome track where you can get through it using no gas or break. Its called Left stick only and it is awesome!

I would not attempt what you are describing simply because the physics change a tad as you builld... No way around it.

I tried the exact same thing as you awhile back and could not find a way to solve this problem. Ended up just scrapping it.

so this might be a bit late... but if the problem is that when you add objects it changes the physics what if before you even work on making the track you open it all up as wide tall and deep as you would like it. then you throw in all the different items you would need on the track in the background. organize it by what it is. all the ramps in one spot all the bombs in another ect. so that way you have all the objects already in the playing field and you use only the objects already placed inside the map and you wont have to worry about adding more objects. so it will take planning before hand. i might be totaly off, but it might also work

This sounds like a pretty good idea. Build the track, and decorate it as you would like. When you're done, tweak the sections that need tweaking.

Kudos on a great first post!

Nice suggestion! Poringo, when I read this topic, the first thought that came into my mind was "Oh God, it's LineRider all over again!

I don't know if anyone else ever played that but it was a great time-waster back in the day. It's still available for free as far as I know, but the most frustrating thing about it was that once you built a portion of track, if you changed it even the slightest bit, the rider would crash due to the physics difference.

Lol. Yep, that's it. Tech dog was always one of my favorite builders. That dude could do just about anything. One of my other favorite tracks was called "Mars" or something like that. Don't remember who it was by though.
