I was talking to Kim on chat, and two things I always wondered about came up...
Am I the only person who uses WASD controls? I doubt I could finish half the maps with the arrow keys.
Also, what camera view do you use? I hear many people use action, but I stick with direct. Action would make it too hard for me.
I almost want to try doing the arrow keys and using the action angle. It'd be like starting the game all over again.
arrow keys, but wasd on my laptop whenever i have to use it cause the arrow keys are tiny on it.
direct cam for me, action cam i just cant do, i hate how it randomly zooms in and out, gives me a headache
i think most ppl use action tho, actually i think im the only one in top10 who uses direct (correct me if im wrong someone)
edit: oops sylar is still in top10, i know for sure he uses/used direct cam
I use Arrows. Middle finger for up/down. Index and ring for left/right.
It would be interesting to know if there are any left-handed people up in the ranks.
Direct, Arrows
maybe i can join you soon norfactually i think im the only one in top10 who uses direct![]()
Action, and I used to use Arrows, but now I only use WASD because it's quicker to hit R without needing another hand.
Interesting. I couldn't imagine switching back and forth between WASD and arrows. Certain things are simply muscle memory for me, like switch jumps. I don't think I have sufficient control over the other hand to do them accurately.
Arrows and action
I must agree with norf, the action camera on inferno e.g. is extremely annoying. Doing the big jump its start zooming in and out.. would like if it was more static, but i'm used to it![]()
I've used wasd and arrows, and I've more or less decided on arrows. Accidentally hitting "r" is something I dread, so having backspace closer than r is good for me. I've always used action for the camera, but after reading this I started using direct... not a huge game-changing difference, but I think I do actually prefer direct.
Arrows always. It's just where my hand lands. Even on my netbook where arrows are tiny, I still prefer them.
As for the camera, it's a habit you (should) never change (ZeroG).
I prefer Action as I got used to it from the beginning. I don't even notice the camera movement anymore.
Whenever I've tried to play with Direct, I feel like I'm going blind.
The angle of the camera makes you see what's behind the bike and not the obstacles coming ahead.
WSAD and Action. Its exciting when the camera zooms in and out.
