I know there has been topics on this before so sorry for starting a new thread. Also sorry if yo are reading this and are also on my friends list as you already received a crazy message over LIVE.
I have been at MC plat for a couple of weeks now and have been getting close (8-12 faults) but could not do it. Just then, I got plat. 5 faults and 8 mins something. I actually made it through diabolic 1 fault, going up 0 faults, inferno 0 faults, 4!!!!! faults on groundhog then zero fault the rest. I can't believe how bad I did groundhog and still got plat.
I kept the nerves in check through the first half but after groundhog, I got a bit shaky. At the start of greatest hits, 5 faults, was just talking to myself. You don't need those nerves, you don't need those nerves. As i got to the second or third last obstacle, I got a bit shaky and was having trouble concentrating. As i crossed the finish line, it was like a feeling I have never had with this game before. my hands were shaking, my heart was beating out of my chest. It took me a good 10 minutes to actualy start to calm down.
Now I may sound like I'm a bit over the top but I have been working so hard for this, It just feels good to get it. I am now ranked 72nd on the MC leaderboard but I only climbed 1 place in the GL +DLC (because I was already at 7 faults). Just so happy I finally have this one.
Funny thing is that I still have 2 plats left to do. The tourney with prison break/isabelle and the tourney with KOTH/technique etc. They are next. Now I am def going for 95/95 club before Big Thrills.
Just needed to share this with some of you. Don't think my wife cares enough to be woken up at 11.30pm!

serious congrats in order. i was gonna ask where you got your faults. i cannot believe you got through Brown Boxes and Greatest Hits with no faults when you were on 5! because i know for fact i would have bottled that big time.
doing Inferno with zero faults was pretty great. it's crazy you got most your faults on Groundhog Forever. which part? i'm gonna guess at the 2nd checkpoint, or maybe that jump with the metal plate in the middle...
you're bound to have it 95/95 by new DLC time i reckon...
i should have platinumed the Ultimate League one but failed on the finish line to Isabelle. i actually laughed to myself at the time... but i was crying inside. it would have been a better time than Ender's as well, gah!!! i don't think i'll get that time again 3mins 57 seconds (before the fault). it's actaully got my 1 faulted time as 4mins 2 seconds though because it took me a bit to realise my rider had crashed on the finish line...
Isabelle has the worst finish line of any track ever. i dunno who thought it was a good idea!!!

You are spot on almost. I got 1 fault on the first jump from the shipping container to the landing (first checkpoint). I was just too nervous as I was at 1 fault after just completing zero on inferno.Originally Posted by ben1bob

With one other fault on diabolic (not sure where). I really should have done this in 2-3 faults and with a time that was about 8:30ish, would have been a good placing.
I doubt i will ever try it again. I really enjoyed it, but just could't do it again...
As for my other two plats, I don't know how you are getting unde 4 mins on ultimate league. I even tried to do it without even worrying about faults, just to set a good time and it was still 4:48!. If you add my best times togather I am already at 3:38 i think, so i only have 30 seconds to spare over 5 hard tracks and it also must be a zero fault. I think this is going to be the hardest one for me.
The again, zero faulting KOTH and classic and technique in that 9 minute one will also suck. I think I will wait a few weeks, finish up uni then just pick one of them and go for it...

that metal plate bit is really awkward though. i've got the speed i need to be going in my mind but you only need to go a bit faster or a bit slower and you're totally screwed. no recovery possible.
i reckon you should be able to breeze the World Championship now mate, the one with KotH, Classic, etc. all the other tracks are sooooo simple. if KotH and Classic were the first tracks in that tourney it wouldn't be half as hard...
as for uni, i didn't expect to see you on live at all cos of your exams! but everybody needs a bit of chill out time. even though playing Trials is not necessarily the most relaxing thing in the world

I was thinking, I am doing my Masters (MBA) at the moment and I enrolled for my last 4 units ni July 2009. In August 2009 Trials came out and somehow, I have managed to pass all of my courses while spending entirely too much time on this game. I also had a kid in Jan 2009 and he doesn't hate me either... Now you see why a 1am bed time seems appropriate. Not going to give up my trials time just to sleep!!!
Also, Check out my ranking. Im getting closer to you mate. I did 2 runs on going up, the first run for the night was about .8 of a second off my best. I thought that was easy, I'll try again. Took another 12 seconds off! I then beat my records on about 4 other tracks and didn't move up a single placing as the next dude is so far ahead of me in points..

congrats i find midnight club so frustrating because today i did it in 2 faults but both of the fault were on easy bits thats always the trouble i have with this tournament i do the hard bits perfectly at speed and fail on an easy simple bits i don't know if thats just me but thats the most frustrating thing about tournaments i find but again congrats on your platinum

i've been playing GH6 - Warriors of Rock so not played it for a a few days. will go on tonight and check. but if you DO overtake me i don't think there's much i can do now to improve my rank to be honest!Originally Posted by FatShady

I finally pulled it off too! 4 faults in total. 1 on Diabolic, 2 on Inferno II and 1 on my least fav obstacle of all time, the middle of Groundhog Returns with the akward platform between 2 ramps!
Just got to get the tourney before MC to complete my collection of platinums!

We are both 94/95 then and both have the same last tourney. I dont think i'll get it before big thrills... but again congrats.
