Ok boys and girls. It has begun.
THE BIGGEST AND BEST PLAYER COMPETION EVER.
First of all the prize.

That out the way. The judges ( in no order) all independent, all from different countries, and of course all very involved with trials, the game, editor, or skill levels.
and a brief description of why. So you all can see its as fair a competion as can be.

1) Euphoric Fusion. Currently 62nd on globe leaderboards. A prolific, proven, quality map maker himself. Fair and true. always on hand to help where he can.

2) Mad MIKE NL. Currently 1st place on globel leaderboard and arguably best all round player in the world.

3) pahapertti. An official playtester of the Trials HD Big Pack. Currently 12th on globel leaderboards, and an exceptional player. And original trials legend.

4) raistlin2076. Not a judge but the final say.

I'm sure you will agree they are a fair and fine choice of independent judges.

Before the rules I will state that all entries must send a friend request to all the above. With a short message stating its for the horror/halloween competion.
Please be patient waiting for your request to be accepted. And expect to be deleted after your trac has been downloaded. Expect our friendlists to be full. Send a message and we shall request your trac as soon as possible. Thanks

It's very time consuming and ultimately stressfull dealing with many entries. I'm sure you understand.
But all tracs will be extensively played and fairly judged.

Ok just before the rules it would be great if you can get a video of your entry on this thread. If you don't have the means then a couple of epic players will be happy to do this for you.

Please only send a polite request for them to capture your trac. They are doing this to help you map makers get your video up and don't require more than one message.

A quick personal and very big thanks to all above mentioned for there time and effort for our much loved game and of course our friends at REDLYNX for giving us this opportunity.

THE RULES.

1) The trac must be horror/halloween based.

2) The trac must have at least one " scare " involved. ie a box falling you must dodge, or the floor falling away. ( I'm sure you can think of better)

3) It must have a sick/twisted fatality ending. ( no survivors necessary )

4) It must be scary

5) the trac must be named H/H gamertag and number of entry. ie H/H raistlin 3

SIMPLE RIGHT ???

The closing date for tracs will be 31st October. Plenty time. So no messages saying I need just 1 more hour

At the end I will get the judges top 3 tracs, discuss and fairly work out a winner from there. It's not about editor skill its about scares and fun. So anybody can enter.
Feel free to tell your friend list if you don't mind some more competion. More tracs we all get to play or see the better all round I think for everyone.
There can and will be only 1 winner.

HINTS. a trac does not need to be dark to be scary. Shocks can happen anywhere. Not just the wiery wood or haunted house.
Jumps and scares are the key to open the prize box here.

Although I am judging this time I am unfortunatley unable to do captures for YouTube as I simply don't have the time available to edit and upload them have a 3 week old son that is sapping my time).
But rest assured I'll have a blast and hopefully a scare or two when riding your tracks

I hope you know I'm just efin with you and trying to give you a little grief like I experienced with the rules in my comp.

This sounds like a lot of fun man! Props on deciding on what type of tourny to do. Chosen by the people, played by the people.

I do have one suggestion though. I remember how you struggled in picking a winner in the end of your last comp, with all of the judges having different favorites.

The scoring system we used in my comp,(Props to BLUEMAGEFTW)made it soo much simpler in choosing the winner. It wasn't just one persons favorite and really I think made it more fair to all participants.

If all of you judges could agree on some scoring categories and scores themselves, I think it would benefit everyone.

There was a system for the last comp that Raist did (3x3).
There were a number of tracks that could have won that comp but fell down due to bad checkpointing or inconsistent physics.
I am sure something will be used to make it fair
