RedLynx is teaming up with Eurogamer Expo to host the Trials HD UK Open, a championship caliber gaming competition featuring the award-winning Xbox LIVE Arcade game.
The winner of this special event will be crowned the 2010 Trials HD UK Open champion, while all top three finishers will receive impressive trophies. In addition, we’ll be giving out game flags and Trials hoodies to selected participants. This ride could be the most important ride of the year!
The UK Open competition will take place on 1 PM, Saturday, October 2 . The event will take place at Brompton Hall in Earl's Court, London, during the Eurogamer Expo:
The Brompton Hall
Earls Court
Warwick Road
London
SW5 9TA
On Sunday, we will host a smaller, fun competition called "Beat Jorma." Anyone who is able to beat Jorma in a head-to-head game for best score on a track of their choice, will receive an "I Beat Jorma" certificate indicating that they in fact, have defeated Jorma in a head-to-head match. We will also be at the show Friday, demonstrating the game and everyone is welcome to come buy and visit the booth.
The Eurogamer Expo is the UK's biggest dedicated video games event. It's a chance for gamers to play some of the most anticipated games for the holidays and beyond, hear from some of the world's most talented developers, take part in tournaments to win great prizes, check out our indie arcade and get involved with the industry via the Career Fair.

UPDATE!
There are now tournament results and pictures on page two of this thread.
Enjoy!
I need some informations about it from the devs: 1# Are you keeping any spots open for the riders from the community. I will not fly there just to realize that I cant
. participate because there is no more space!
. 2# The expo site says there are no more tickets for Saturday! How am I ment to participate if I cant get in because I dont have a
. ticket?
. 3# Who of the developers will be there?
. 4# How is the competition going to be held? (As far as I know there are 5 gamestations and spots for 64 riders)
. 5# Who from the community is going?
The winners for the track creation contest will be announced in November! How are the prizes given to them? Will there be an small event because of it?
There is no point in taking all this trouble with the UK Open if there will be another event in the "near" future anyway!
And please RedLynx, next time you hold an event like the UK Open or any other event, announce it earlier! WAY EARLIER
That was everything for now! And as I said before, I need the informations about the UK Open as soon as possible!
Yeah I agree JJ i'm fuming I didn't know anything about this till this message and I live in the UK... I was going to go till it said tickets are sold out for saturday.
I could go Sunday and try it on with Jorma but... I got work the day after so there would be a long day in for me... and travel from where I live - West Midlands - it's too much hassel.
To be fair it's hardly RedLynx's fault about the short notice.
The EG expo is an annual event and draws in devs and fans in their thousands. The announcements on the final set lists are always left until fairly late in the day (see my post just a couple of days ago - that's how much notice we EGers got that RedLynx were definitely attending).
The Saturday sold out weeks ago before the final dev listings were known sadly - there was a rumour amongst us on EG (started by yours truly) that I hoped RedLynx would be attending in light of the upcoming Big Thrills pack which gained a coy response from EG (ie it had evidently been discussed but not agreed at that date, and this was at most 2 weeks ago)
The fact that this has become a 'UK Open' tournament is more to do with brand awareness at the Expo - I'm fairly sure this was not planned by RedLynx until they were confirmed attendees and it gives an extra edge to the expo that (as far as I'm aware) no other devs are offering.
For what it's worth, a few people I know from EG are attending and I'm really looking forward to their feedback in the days after the show. Give 'em hell jorma, wish I could be there myself in person to test my skills, but sadly I'm tied up
I'm going on friday, oh well.
Hi guys - we apologize for the delays in getting the word about this event out, so we are going to try and make it up to you. Please see the updated announcement, the first post in this thread. That's right, free reserved tickets for our top players!![]()
better get cracking at improving your global score jjIf its allowed someone can use my position, i have no problem with that whatsoever.
I'll take yours boris xD...
Maybe I should really start playing the normal tracks more instead of the customs! Im ranked 1# on Inferno II and 2# on Midnight Club after something like 21 tries as far as I remember.
I think I could definatly get into the top 10
Ask Jennki if your allowed JJ and your more than welcome to use my spot, maybe I could nominate you to go in my place or something? Im sure theres some way around itOriginally Posted by JJtheGerman![]()
