ok. I would like to bump into a trials player on the street. And I would like some super brain ( if there is one, we play games afterall ) to work out what the chances are ? . Ok so far
I am no mathematician. In fact I'm a bit of an idiot.
But the way I see it, we know there are aprox 1 million players.
So first we need to know how many countries play trials,
Then how many homes are in each country.
How many people live in each country,
Then simply divide the numbers???
Am I right ? If not its something like that.
So if you enjoy a challenge, get on it. I'm sure all the info will be on the internet somewhere on countries population etc and maybe even one of our friendly devs could tell us what countries trials is sold in ?

thniking about the OP a bit more.
The global population is 6,868,178,642
The Number of unique trials HD players is 1,100,000 (this rounding should account for multiple accounts if there are that many)
In simple terms, that is 1 player in every 6,243 people.
If we make the assumption that every household has 3 people in it on average, then you would have to knock on just over 2000 doors to meet someone.
The only problem you have is that for a complete stranger to welcome you, just being a trials player is not enough. Of the 1.1m players, not all of them are crazy like us, so you would want to meet someone who is still playing so the number of active players is a figure less than the above. Now take into account there are countries that have minimal access to live services, consoles (exclude China all together (Consoles are banned - 1,324,655,000 people right there) and what you end up with is a wide variety of negatives and positives to help with your quest.
See the search would be flawed if you just went to a random country and stearted looking yourself. What you would be better doing is to wear some trials themed clothing every day and go to as many places as you can think of that typical gamers hang out. If there is a games convention or launch party, suggest you just hang around in the dark alleys behind these places until someone approaches you. .... wait, did I think that last part through?
My suggestion however is simple, at every possible opportunity, when you meet someone new, steer the conversation towards trials. This will have one of two outcomes. You will find your long lost trials buddy or you will be advertising for a game that deserves it.
If all of the above fails, suggest you set up an account on a dating website, list yourself as a trials HD addict and see who you meet. Hey, if a chick responds, she would be marriage material right there!

Just back from a night out.... but yeah umm 6.5 million in the UK altogether. So chances are very slim 1/6000 odds you are looking at. Then again, i've met someone who is a trials player. Heard em over talking at the moment.
