I love how this thread shows how we are all extremely different in certain ways, but we were all brought together in this place thanks to Trials hahaha
Some of the bands I'm diggin to at the moment:
For Today
Disfigured Elegance
Miss May I
Resist the Thought
Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza
Within the Ruins
Metal is my main genre of choice, but I like seriously anything... Some days I turn on the jazz radio station in my area. I love big band music. Country is good (Brad Paisley puts on an amazing live show). Some of the "top hits" are decent. T.I. is awesome. Eminem is good.... Gotta love music!![]()
Nice thread. Here's a general dump of stuff I've been listening to recently. I'm mostly into dark/atmospheric music, just a heads up.
Low - Slow depressive pop music - sort of.
Dead Can Dance - I don't know what this really. A really gothic sound with influences from around the world. I've been absolutely crazy about this band lately.
Wolfbrigade - Swedish crust punk with the just the right mix of melody and anger.
Lustre - I'm prone to label this ambient with black metal influences. Contender for album of the year on my part. Amazing atmosphere. Huge.
Amebix - Iconic crust punk pioneers, this being a slower song.
Whirl - American shoegaze from 2010, also a possible album of the year.
Horn - Forest-/nature themed black metal from Germany. He really captures the feeling that he's after and does it all with really beautiful melodies and song structure.
Urfaust - Dutch black metal with one of the most unique sounds in the genre. Another great album from 2010.
Arizmenda - Absolutely psychotic and deranged black metal band from California (what?). I dare you to listen to this release in its entirety (really loud) and still feel like a functioning human being afterwards.
Hold on, how is that meaningful? Is there anything more pointless than war?Originally Posted by Zoidberg747
