    Finding the best tracks

    Hello all,

I've surfed these forums, as well as TrialsHD.net, and I've seen quite a few custom tracks by many different skilled track creators. However, as somebody who has played only a few custom tracks, it's difficult for me to know:

    a. Etiquette - when is it appropriate to contact a track creator, asking for a friend request? I don't want to badger people.
    b. Is there some place that lists, say, the top 20 track creators and their gamertags? I'd really like a way to find the best track creators, and play their tracks.

I've played the default tracks so many times that I'm actually getting bored with them. :0

I have no tracks to share, but if you have tracks that you're willing to share, please add me as a friend. My gamertag is 'iamamish'. Also, I don't want to give anyone offense, but if anyone is interested in feedback, however detailed, It'd be my pleasure to give feedback in exchange for an opportunity to play your tracks.

    Re: Finding the best tracks

There are probably many opinions on this topic, but I have come to these conclutions:

I think it´s different what people like. Most creators like if you send a message first with reference to Trials HD followed by a FR. Others will gladly share either way!

Many of us build tracks because we like to and because we like to share our work with the community and people in general, so sharing is not something that bugs us. I do have to state that I speak for myself, but I'm sure others share my view on this.

Regarding feedback, I'm sure we all like to get peoples opinions on our work, so please do send feedback, but keep it constructive. Don't be afraid to tell people what you like and don't like, but remember that we all have our own preferences and styles, and therefore make tracks that may be very different! Puzzle-tracks, Boss battles, static tracks, Ninja-tracks and much more!

As a result of the track-thefts that has been going on, some also require you to register as a user to prove your validity.

There are, to my knowledge, not a list with the top 20 creators, would be nice though! There are many topics areond here where people list their personal faves, look for those threads in the "user created tracks" section.

Also, videos are your friend, as you can see the tracks before you ask for them
If you want to try tracks, just start MSG'ing, but note that many creators have full FR-lists, so you may have to wait a while before you get on the list!

Hope this was helpful, happy hunting!

You're welcome to send a FR if you want to try out my stuff! Cheers

    Re: Finding the best tracks

No problem, just happy to help!

Some pathetic losers found it amusing to download other creators tracks, and messing with some techincal stuff that I don't know much about. That made it possible for them to share those tracks as their own

Nobody likes using alot of time building something just to see someone else take credit for it, so the people that were involved got a little angry to say the least, and some took precautions, that's why you have to be registred on this site.

Regarding validity, you are registred in this forum, so you don't have to worry about that.

    Cheers!

    Re: Finding the best tracks

yea. as long as you post something about your track, should stay safe. and send message before FR, i know i appreciate a lil explaining before i add someone. and there are a LOT of good creators, some are just different than others. depending if you like tech-style runs or easy race. if you want to challenge your skills and knowledge of the game, try QcChoppers "pure trials" tracks.
