I can 0 fault through the course until I come to the last section that requires me to Jump off of the steel cage onto the wooden ramp and then hop from there on to the top of another square structure.
I normally try to come off the steel cage and land with my bike at a downward angle and try to use my momemtum to spring jump from the wooden ramp. Don't know if I described it right. But it only works 1 out of 10 times.
My lowest Prison Break run is 1 fault. It's completely random when I am able to make that jump.
Any tips will be greatly appreciated!
Land on the platform and bunny hop, that is the only thing I can think of, I struggle with this also
That's another technique I try. That also only works 1 out of 10 times. I always seem to come up short somehow.Originally Posted by Zoidberg747
You need to angle the bike with the front wheel at 45 degrees up.
Land on the flat part of the plank with your back wheel and then when you land the rear suspension will compress and hit the throttle as soon as the back wheel touches.
From there you can just wait a split second before flicking forward to hop up the the air conditioner.
Lean forward and gas? You should go up and come straight down on the top of the fence and do a little hop off it.
The key to this move is how you land on the wooden ramp. You need to land on the flat part and reduce your recoil (bounce) as much as possible. Either land at a 45 degree angle like Euphoric said or land on the flat part with your front wheel slightly before your back one. This should keep the recoil to a minimum and allow you to jump smoothly.
I was playing Ultimate League today and this is one of the bits I needed to practice.
Land on the ramp, then roll back so you're near the edge. Full gas and left then press right when the back wheel hits the slanted part. You should only just make it.
I suggest getting to this part and just keep practicing over and over using B until you get comfortable with it.
I would say that this is one of the tougher parts of the game to get quickly.
If you just want to get through with a zero fault run but don't care about your time, the easiest way to do this is to just fall down to the ground, get on to the wooden platform with your back wheel close to the edge, gas and hop up to the metal cage.
Judging the distance of the drop is just something you'll get after playing through it more and more. I still only get this right about 50 - 60% of the time.
Come to think of it the technique I suggested is very similar to the section after the boxes on KotH.
If you can nail it there you will do it on prison Break easy.
When dropping down, make sure the speed is relevent for the next jump, the bounce forcing you should give you a better lift in getting up, push forward and pull back before going up the ramp leaving your back tyre with more traction, this will lift off with previous speed, turning the traction of your tyre into more speed. When you have done that, pull back and push forward to give yourself more umph as the saying goes... and you should be up on that air condensor in no time.
