I have t4k shadow on my friends list and he is in the top 100 but i dont mind that because I can use his replays

Depends what you are aiming for though man, I have Willyumz on my FL and Boris, and a few others in the top 100 but I just know I can't match them and don't even try......if I add new people for trials competition I will keep it around the 1000-800 mark which is the limit of where I can get too, through skill and lack of time to perfect my skillzzzzzzz

True but whenever I see his name on a skill game I know i got REALLY far and also i learned some techniques from him that really help and are not even complicated.

I would have to say that having people much better then myself on my friends list is a huge benefit. about a month ago i was in the thousands (something like 8000 ish). since then i have been watching all the top replays from Euphoric Fusion to Mad Mike, these are scores that i know i will probably never match but by watching their techniques you can learn a lot. I am now ranked 490 ish and its all thanks to these top guys, I would say that by only having people as good as yourself on your fr list you are restricting yourself and prolonging your skill developement - you need good talent for competition to push you further imo

Add me. I'm top 2000 with all DLC and top 4000 with just the original tracks. Working my way up the ranks gradually though.

I found it very disheartening having players in the top 100 on my FL, they have way too much time to play trials

I have 2 jobs, but I find the time cause I love the game. Not all the people in the top 100 have too much time to play trials. Ninja tracks were the key for me. They make the hardest in-game tracks feel incredibly easy. I agree with the disheartening part though... been there

texasmade84 - I agree with lespritdelescalier you should start out with people closer to you in rank, because you won't be able to have the top guys level of control until at least 4-6 months from now. Saying you keep yourself dedicated. No offense, but I speak from experience. Send me an F.R. when you get in the top 1000.

I think Evolution will be out before that happens! It keeps getting harder and harder for me to move up, a lot of people keep passing me up if I don't play every day.

You'll learn some newer tricks (for you) pretty soon. I think I was stuck around 10k for a week or 2 before I started moving up.

Watch some replays to see how people overcome harder obstacles and don't hesitate to try something you learned on one track on another.
