I had bought the game a week ( or so ) before the ending of this recent contest. So I went to designing but not really playing the actual game... After submittion I started to play the other tracks and noticed that I placed all check points on the opp. side of what the developers did for the game lol.... Mine are able to be clearly seen but how much does this affect me during judging? Does anyone have an idea?
should have nothing to say. as long as they are visible, they can be anywhereOriginally Posted by xGetxReSpAwNeDx
Sorry, but I'm not sure your entry is going to be eligible.
From the contest rules document:
"Big Thrills! Trials HD Track Creator Challenge (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of .... who have a current Xbox Live Gold subscription (Xbox Live Silver subscriptions not eligible) and who have purchased and registered Trials HD as of 20 July 2010."
I don't really see why they needed this rule anyway. They didn't exactly get flooded with submissions. I think the total was still under 1,000 entries.
Why is it not eligible? Its already submitted, unless he is not on the countries eligible list?Originally Posted by nannerdw
OT: Not quiet sure what you mean with the checkpoints, I think they would fix them if they liked the track enough, but I'm sure they wanted correct cps as that relates to the track creation as a whole.
I was referring to the "purchased by July 20th" rule. Hopefully they're not going to be too strict on that.
Oh......maybe thats a miswording? I can't see them holding to that. idk good point :/ But it is interesting people would buy the game to make a track for it, having never done so. They are going up against experienced creators, I'm sure some unknowns are going to sneak into the top 10 (but I kinda doubt it seeing a ton of epic tracks from our small little communityOriginally Posted by nannerdw![]()
I am sure if that were true that they wouldnt had accepted my submittion... Why wouldnt they want people to buy the game in the first place... it is after all a "promotion" to get people into the game... I have notice this contest have a few typos... plus maybe that I downloaded the trial version when it came out... is good enough.. who knows... All i can do is try... so yall do believe that if a track isn't up-to-par that they will alter it if they feel its a top 10 track?
I just went to check the rules... and He is correct... I believe I understand why they have that... it is to not allow anyone sending in multiple submittions under different xboxes.... So I believe the reason I was able to submit mine was because that I had registered trails HD when I downloaded the trial version... So I am ok with that... I believe that if i werent I wouldnt had already passed the beginning phase of submittions... thanks though for the advice!
