I've played T2SE. A lot. You can probably tell by my stats on the left.

You certainly have. Holy crap. I've played it some, but I am more used to THD, so it feels awkward for me to control the Trials 2 SE bike.

But I've also played THD a lot, but I haven't got an Xbox 360 so I had to play it at a friend's house.

How many hours can you have realistically put into it? 10? 20?

So I got Platinum on a couple of "Extreme" tracks, some of which being shameless copy/pastes of T2SE tracks with explosives put everywhere so if you land wrong but could otherwise have recovered you die. That's the lack of realism I get from this game, if you go to a Trials tournament you won't see nitro crates lying around or Nitrous that gives you enough force to fly. You'll see some obstacles and people getting over them with bikes.

THD isn't about realism, just as T2SE wasn't realistic. How many Trials riders do you know who flip upside down and drive towards the ground with their bike folded in half (that's in T2SE)? Is it really fair to say that THD is worse than T2SE because it isn't realistic? Neither are.

None of the tracks are "carbon copies", some of them are definitely based on T2SE tracks, such as the ones with II and Classic.. they use sections from the Trials 2 tracks as an homage to that game. The fact that the physics engine is vastly different makes these tracks not play the same.

I find the amount of bikes in THD useless because everyone uses the Phoenix anyway, or whatever the most powerful bike is.

I use the Scorpion in a few tracks, as it has better top end speed. I'm not the best in the world, but the Scorpion is capable of top times.

I find the lack of camera angles annoying too, as I use Direct on T2SE as I don't like the camera randomly zooming out and pointing in random directions.

The camera points exactly where the track creator places it. The camera is a tool in the level editor, it is up to the track creator to place it correctly. I do wish that THD had selectable cameras like in T2SE though.

And if I had a free Xbox and THD I'd probably sell them and buy Gran Turismo 5 and LittleBigPlanet 2 because GT5 is more realistic and LBP2 has a level editor which pwns THD's.

You are kinda comparing apples to oranges. First off, I bet it didn't take 8 years to complete THD as a video game (GT5).

Second, Redlynx doesn't have hundreds of millions of dollars (as SONY does) to invest in a single game, which is the case with BOTH Gran Turismo and Little Big Planet.

Third, Trials HD is not a disc based game, as are both GT5 and LBP2. Seriously, THD is like 200MB. What's LBP2? 18GB...
Trials HD is an Arcade game entry for the Xbox Live Marketplace, it is not a Triple-A title (though it is in my opinion), the team at RL is probably the same amount of people that Sony had interning in the janitor department during development of GT5 and/or LBP2.

I'm not a big fan of the LBP level editor, but I'm sure if I invested more time in it, it would be great.

Gran Turismo 5 is more realistic than Trials HD? maybe something to do with GT5 taking the better half of a decade to finish and that GT5 is a racing simulator, Trials HD is an arcade game for just a few £/$/€.

and ive heard great things about the editor on Little Big Planet.

But i would argue that i'd rather ride my Trials bike through a custom-made track than bounce a little sackboy through it whilst grabbing stuff and swinging on things.

Well obviously i voted T2se

Im a stupido idiot with a controller so dont think i'll ever have a xbox or Trials HD.

For me the less graphics the better, i have all settings on low and play in window mode, explosions and stuff make me loose concentration. So in my case less is more.

Im very glad Trials HD are doing so well and is defintly the more fun game to play for the average gamer(And it was released on my birthday;P). I've tried to teach some of my friends to play T2se and they are all like "WTF this is ******g difficult" so i think T2se talks more to the gamer that likes the competition and toughness of the gameplay where Trials HD actually is possible to have some fun with right from the get go.

Also this post is not gonna give a clear answer as weither which game is better, there are 150k T2se players(most only done a couple of tracks) and i dont know have many million players in THD

I can argue with it. Photomorti, you seem to be insinuating that you prefer *****! I must argue to the contrary. You're missing out immensely.

I've only played se 2 for a little over 28hrs, but that's enough time to realize trials hd is a much more polished than se 2. The physics alone make a huge difference in overall quality. SE 2 has things I wish were in trials hd like ghost replays and racing other peoples ghost replays and personal stats. All in all I like hd better than se, but then again I've played HD alot more. I play Trials se 2 with the same wireless xbox controller I use to play Trials HD cause I suck with the arrow keys on the keyboard.

I don't think this thread will settle anything though cause there's more HD players on the forums as of now than SE 2 players. Which means more votes for HD. Interesting topic though
