This is the first time posting on here... My issue is with making some types of transporters... I designed a jet but the glue falls apart... I designed a boat and glue falls apart... I did what I have read to do... My question is can there be too many pieces for a structor to hold together?
I did glue 2 boards together with thrusters and that held... So I just wanted to know if its because there are too many pieces...
Just bought the game 3 days ago... didn't realize you could build your own tracks... ty everyone!
I've had the same problem i would make sure every piece is glued to everything on the vehicle.
When I made a boat... I tried glueing EVERYTHING but started to run out of ( RAM )... and it would not allow me to glue everything as well as I had first started. Does every piece have to be glued to every piece around it or to every piece in general... if every piece, it seems that you run out of the ability of glueing everything... its frusstrating... I only had about 25 pieces of wood... even less for the Jet... yet it falls apart!
I've never attempted something quite so complex but I think every piece has to be glued to everything

You need to have physics on EVERY object except for one object. Use a trigger to trigger physics and then your boat/jet should work perfect.
Only glue when its necessary (big moving complex physics objects) if its static don't glue it.
Oh I Didn't know that thanks. good luck with your transporters get respawnedOriginally Posted by Jarr3tt88
Thank you for your help... However.. when I do glue many parts that need to move... such as a boat or jet... I run out of the ability to glue... due to room complex (sp?) im not on to see exactly the correct spelling... and do you have to glue every part to all other parts... repeating this process for every part... because if so... that is a TON of glue which doesnt work... How complex can a moving object be before its unable to be used as a moving object... Also, does anyone have a tutorial on this? thanks guys!
In my experience, each object only needs to be glued to the immediate object(s) that it touches. Say you built a box shaped thing out of metal plates...the top only needs to be glued to the left and right sides, not the bottom. The left side only needs to be glued to the top and bottom, and so on.
When you want to make the object move, you keep physics on for all parts of the object, except one, which we'll use the top of the box for...you then set a trigger, physics [x] and select the top of the box as the object you want to trigger physics on for. This way it basically activates physics and the whole thing moves, and won't just fall apart.
Dude I said the same thing a few posts ago lolOriginally Posted by TheMovement81
If you hit over the room complexity, you can place objects one at a time (not copy paste) and glue them that way past the room object. Becareful not to do it too much so that you don't create lag.
Alright, I will try to make a spider i can ride in.... with what you all have said... thanks for the advice... I dont mean to be a noob but I wanted to have a complete track done before this contest ends... I am not even sure if they have reached the 10k entry mark.. I hope not... Judging from the designs I have seen on youtube... I am sure i cant get first... but I'm trying to learn fast!
