I don't understand why Microsoft do use the same system that is used for Indie Game updates.
If a game needs a critical update (like this Trials one) why isn't the original download repackaged and you are forced to download the game again but fully updated.
Games where you need the update to play online are hardly effected as the update usually fixes multiplayer, so to play online you would have to update very time you tried to play.
But with games like Trials and the security of peoples work being in jeopardy, I think a forced redownload of the fully patched version of the game is the only way to go.
If you save your track after the patch date there is no way possible to glitch![]()

Is this true? So you are saying that if you have the patch and create a track after it then you can't glitch and steal it?Originally Posted by 420

Yes, we did see the possibility of removing the patch, hence we slightly modified the track format and it should now be impossible to open the new tracks with an unpatched build.Originally Posted by EuphoricFusionIn addition to saving the original creation time, the game currently also saves the original creator in the track file that is not modified after creation. Even if somebody somehow managed to send your track as their own for the competition, they wouldn't be able to claim credit for it.Originally Posted by jook13
