so im in the process of creating a track where you hop in a helli, take off, blow up a wall with a missle and fly on through. i can get it to work in the editor but when i test the track the missle doesnt animate. the only sollution i've found is to set the missle to animate from the begining. any suggestions on how to make this work?
I like to shut off animation, physics and light, then trigger it all on when I need it to fire. TRY THAT![]()
since the missle is attached to my helli i have to have physics on, otherwise my helli doesn't move.
Could it be possible to not have the helicopter fire the missile but make it LOOK like it fired from the helicopter? Somewhere in the background or from above....?
What happens when you leave all three ani, phy, and light on? and trigger it off right away then trigger it back on? (ani, light)
Edit- did you try having a trigger with nothing checked and activating the missile?
your first idea might be possible but it would only add to the complexity and probably cause more difficulties. when i leave all the boxes checked and trigger them off right away they stay on. if i have a trigger that only activates the animation it will turn the physics off and the missle won't go anywhere. it's a really frustrating situation. i think i might have to many triggers in one area if that makes sense, however when i try to simplify the trigger system i get the same result. very frustrating, especially when i can watch it work perfectly in the editor and have it fail once i test it.Originally Posted by Jarr3tt88
Yea I know the feeling seeing it work in editor but not when you take a real/test run.
