^ I try not to do that, b/c a lot of the time I'm trying to keep the objects aligned on exactly the same plane to optimize the track file. I'm not really sure how far apart two coplanar parts have to be before they are not grouped together, though.

if something is off screen i u can still group it with something that's on screen, is this what you mean but more precise?

i don't know if there is a distance where you cant group things together anymore or not
