Is it possible to use dampers to make the missles shhot as if in slow motion? If so, how?
I don't think you could attach enough dampers to it to get the desired effect.
You might be able to use a force rotation with a dummy attached which spins between 2 triggers to enable/disable physics really quick so it would kinda stutter across the screen.
I haven't tried it but what about having the missile flying through wind, which is pointing the opposite way? it might slow it down a bit
Ya but it would pry make the missile go off course unless u use the sliding tool from the dlc.Plus it would take a lot of wind to stop/slowdown one of those missiles.Originally Posted by purefuzz
Along the lines of what Trialsaddict mentioned, I did this in my track "The Trespasser"'m new here if that track doesn't sound familiar). Anyway, I have a missile that is triggered to fire, but I wanted it slower and more dramatic so I have the missile glued to a slider, which is also glued to 2 dampers, I believe. Something like this:
Damper--Damper--Slider--Missile
Edit: I went back and looked at my track and the way I actually have it set up is:
Slider--Missile----Damper-Damper-Damper
The missile comes out of a pipe that is meant to be a cannon of sorts. The pipe(no physics) is glued to the back of the slider to act as the base. The missile flies considerably slower with this method.
Hope that helps!
I made this happen by accident once, by gluing it to a couple of cars off screen.
Car - Car ----------------------Missile
(Was trying to get the cars to look like they were driving off)
Only problem is the missile dragged on the floor but a slider would help here.
