I was never able to get the septum piercing. I had a plethora of others but that one was never one I could get done.

Maybe it's because I already have a big nose and didn't want to draw more attention to it.

Probably just me being a bit of a wimp though.

Yeah they can to a certain extent. I've gone from 30mm to 20mm in about 3 weeks. I'm not sure how small they'd go if I took them out and left them out for a year. You can get them surgically closed for £60 per ear. I know someone who's had it done and you can't tell they were ever stretched.

I've seen someone go from aluminum can size to pretty small, it looked a little off, but not too bad. I think a pellet/bb would still fit through the hole.
