can anyone tell how trials calculate how it gives rankingscores. many times when i make major (or minor) improves i don't get any points.
check out megatrain's spreadsheet. just by entering your times and faults you can see what scores you get for each track, so presumably you can see all the formulas for score calculation.
*edit*
i just went to the spreadsheet and played with some numbers, and the scoring (for faults) is REALLY harsh.
if you have 5 or more faults on inferno 2, no matter what time you get, you'll still only get 2 points on your global score, and a 1 fault run will only get you about 17k (you get 17310 for 1 fault and 1:04.033).
so this is probably why you're not improving your global score despite getting better runs
Faults is by far the biggest factor with scores. Above all you MUST get a 0 fault run to score a good amount of points.
Skill games give you a big hike in points too.
oK, now somebody tell me this,
Now i know this is how it worked in Trials 2 SE, But does the amount of people who have 0 faulted the track result in lower points for better times?
no, the times other people have got has no influence on your global score (other than its position on the global leaderboard obviously)Originally Posted by 420
