probably answered a thousand times but i need to know..

on ring of fire what is the maximum amount of rings u can get?

yes i allready have 64, but as many people have probably said before.. theres another passage way with lots of rings down there, can the devs or someone save my time and tell me its impossible to get down there please lol

edit: just seen it been asked a little under my topic, so if 1 of the devs could wake up and answer us it would be cool, like ender said, you've all been a little quiet lately, but im sure we'll forgive you if your working on new DLC!!

hmm.. thing is, ive been trying this for the last hour and i actually hit the ring thats suppost to be takin out but momentum carried me into the metal plate.. i do think its impossible though.. the amount of boost you would get isnt enough to keep going down and round to the next ring.. ima keep trying though.. lol

I'd try it, but I really suck at the ring of fire... I still cant get 64 rings... or very close.

That falling door really gets in the way. The only way I figure it, is that you have to stall a little bit while the door falls, then try to get down there. Here's a vid.

since its so near the beginning of the level, the only way you could improve the #1 is by coming back up again (which looks impossible), or going down the exit of that bit.

also, you'd need to leave quite a few rings up above so that, when you get round that path, you can continue the level to the end

(tell me if you want me to explain that better)

jhop, can you grab the ring that you grabbed second to last in that video immediately before going down? come at it backwards, and curl down to the "secret area".

Re: probably answered a thousand times but i need to know..

okay, sorry for the double post - my brother and i were trying to work through this one since i posted last, and we honestly don't think it's possible because the one ring is taken out by the falling platform.

I've tried all the combinations I can think of, and I still don't have enough afterburner power to get to the ring at the bottom of the secret area. I've even managed to follow the falling platform closely enough to try and get the ring, and that doesn't work either. (Even if i managed to get the ring, I would die instantaneously because the platform is right in front of me.)

The platform seems to fall straight, so there's no chance of going around it.

As for triggers, it appears that there are two - one as you grab the upper ring, and one as you come down. You have to grab the upper ring, but the cover to the secret area doesn't start falling until you hit some kind of trigger coming down.

If I can take anything good out of all of this, I am a MUCH better ring of fire player now. My control has increased quite a bit just trying to pull some of this stuff off.
