    E3 & Kinect

I'll get a link up for those who didn't watch the presentation...

but M$ just made a couple more million.

I personally am looking forward to Kinect. The animal kids game was cute, the sports game and the first racing game looked Wii ish, the obstacle/raft game looked kinda cool, the Forza game looked good but not something for me. Then the exercise/yoga/tai chi game peaked my interest & then they sold me with the dance game. I love to dance and if i may say so look pretty good doing it, unlike the white guy they had demoing it.

The possibilities with the kinect are pretty amazing. In 2 to 3 years there's going to be some amazing fun to be had with it. The idea of controller less entertainment was pretty brilliant.

    Rest of it:

I don't care for CoD francise. In the new one you're in a third world country blowing up brown ppl who probably didn't do anything to us just like we do in real life here in the states. I personally find it tasteless to kill such life like enemies. Probably why i prefer halo's cartoony violence and trials to the life like violence of the CoD games.

Gears 3...meh if you like the other ones you'll probably like this one.

Reach...for the first time i'll be renting this for the campaign and giving the multiplayer(ie the reason i buy halo games) another shot instead of waiting in line at midnight. The beta left me sad and disappointed. It looked Halo-y but it didn't play that way.

Metal Gear Solid game- it's cool that M$ stole some of that franchise from playstation. It looks amazing but not something i'll spend money on. Maybe if the 2nd one is on kinect.

ESPN- this will be useful & the free part is sick

Slim Xbox- looks awesome, curious to see if they'll be connection issues when everyone is on wi-fi as opposed to land lined in.

Great presentation by Microsoft. Only thing missing was an announcement by my favorite Finnish independent developers. Maybe they'll let us know what's up next for them sometime in the near to distant future.

i'll get a link up when i find one. Last yr they had it on the dashboard.

    Re: E3 & Kinect

I dont know about you but i like slouching on the couch when im playin games, so im not too sure about kinect, is that the same as Project Natal?

Also im a fan of the Cod series, not as much as halo because it feels less...realistic? To each their own i guess. I just play them for the gamerscore/prestige and move on. Altho Gears can be addicting despite all its flaws.

Played the beta Reach, had a feel of MW2 to it, with all the perks (sprint, jetpack, etc) so i think i may play the mp and try out the new maps and campaign- hope its not as boring as ODST was.

Im not too big on slim consoles because its not like the bigger one takes up that much more room.

but man... i was really hoping Redlynx would make an annoucement at E3 about a new DLC.

    not sure why everyone hates on microsoft, myself included but ive got to say theyre making it a pretty good year for people with an xbox. theres loads of good **** coming out;

i think cod has gone downhill since 4 but im pretty sure i'll get black ops anyway. if its good i'll have something to do, if its bad i'll sell it and have something to moan about

i loved both gears campaigns and thought horde was awesome with friends so i'll definitely get gears 3 although for me, the multiplayer is complete crap. maybe when i move back to england i'll be able to play it but the connection here in wales is shocking

i got sick of halo 3 but reach looks like a solid game so i'll be getting that aswell

metal gear, i think i can live without

as for kinect (it is project natal jhitman), im not convinced yet. i feel like "if i wanted that i'd have a wii by now" but maybe it will be amazing and i'll get it anyway

e3 would have been better if trials dlc or trials hd 2 was announced but i can wait, still got plenty of leaderboard positions to take before i get more stuff to deal with. id rather they take their time and make it worthwhile

    I love the new look and 250HDD, wi-fi (we'll see), It's like a new ******g car, and it's only 300$!!!

I don't know why alot of you are hatin on kinect. Yeah the games they were showing for it were pretty lame, but this is just the beginning. Facial and voice recognition!!!??? Come one you can't tell me thats not ****** awesome. Like ender said, just imagine the capabilities in a few years.

    As for the games:
Gears- I'm done with. Loved the first, but the seconds story was totally ******g cheesy along with the acting. The multiplayer IS broken. The only thing I liked was Horde

MGS-loved the whole series. Last year they said at e3 that the whole series was coming to xbox, is this still the case?? I haven't played the newest one, so I am excited if it's coming to xbox(If the prices are right) I can always just rent though.

Halo-played the **** out of 3, they changed to much ****, and I got into COD and I tried to go back to halo and it feels terrible compared to COD, IMO. But I like the more realistic style. So I won't be getting that, didn't get the last one either.

COD-Treyarch isn't the better of the two(Infinity Ward), and I don't have the money to get it anyway, just a year after MW2 and everything else that will be coming out at the same time.WAW wasn't near as good as COD4 or MW2

No I totally see your point on the controler part. Most of the time I would prefer to use my controller. For instance, when they were showing screen navigation. I don't want to have to wave my hand at the screen when I can press a button ten times faster. As for the wii, I got rid of my wii last christmas, lol.But on the other hand, the wii was fun for abit, right? But the fun wore off because of the lack of envigorating and stimulating content. It was all the same ole waggle command ******** for the most part, with the limited hardware that the wii offers. Image the scenarios you could be put in with the technology of kinect and the power of a 360 to back it up. In my comment I was mainly focusing on the facial and voice recognition, that alone is just ****** awesome imo. But with a camera that perceptive and sensitive, I know all of the creative minds in the gaming industry will be able to use this tool in away that will incorporate every type of gamer eventually. There's just such a huge window of options and creativity in a component like this, I just can't see it doing wrong or failing.
