I'm hoping one of the ppl with cap cards(Murdoc/Jarrett) and editing software can accomplish this, if not no worries.
There's been discussions in the past about ghosts in Trials. I recently busted a pretty good run on diabolic and i was wondering where i could pick up some time on the guys in front of me.
I was hoping that some one could cap my run on Diabolic and Lestro's or preferably RedRiders and put them side by side in a vid.
Maybe i'm picturing it being easier than it is, but i would think one could just cap both runs off the leaderboard and sync them to play side by side at the same time. You'd lose some field of vison but we've all ran the track enough times to know which obstacle is coming up next.
If anyone can accomplish this let us know. I know i'd also like to see a comparison of the top 2 Inferno replays, i'm sure there's other runs that ppl would like to see compared as well.

Ok I think I got it lined up....I forgot that vegas doesnt like two or more video clips in the MST2 video format xD It lags like a mother......so I did the best I can making a test video right now 20 secs long. I'll see how it comes out.
For it to be better I'd have to convert both files that would take about an hour each.

ender - I don't have editing software, but I can arrange a video if the others who do have software can't make this happen.
A couple questions though, and I haven't watched your run, so the questions may be irrelevant.
Would the comparison work the way you want it if Lestropie or Red gets too far ahead of you? I mean, if they are ahead by a second or so, they could be at a completely different part of the track. At the start of the video you could pick out where they get ahead of you, but after that, it would be difficult to see where they are making the gaps larger. Would a checkpoint by checkpoint comparison work better? Possibly a ghost over top of your video? (that one might not work if they get too far ahead)

When comparing my run to 420's, he does the 3rd cp(checkpoint) a lil faster, i do right after the third cp the normal way as opposed to how i normally like to do the gap(see Murdocs run), tires he's got me and the dip, then i do the shortcut Jhop showed me...im curious if this is where i pick up a little time on him. I completely mess up the huge gap landing and have to improvise, it didn't turn out that bad but it still wasn't how i normally do. I think he does the last part much swifter than me, but i'd still like to see it.
If i put time in i'd concentrate on clearing the first gap without touching the board, making the shortcut again(not that difficult suprisingly) and doing the big gap like i normally do. Then cleaning up the last bit especially clearing the last 3 barrels faster like 420/Lestro do.

It might not be what i picture it being, but if it's cool maybe others will set up other comparisons. Any top two where less than a second separates might be interesting to see if we can see where the time was lost or gained. And it may be interesting to compare the styles for different riders. I know i go back and forth in the air to much sometimes when i should just stay in a fixed position.

seeing the two ruun side by side was awesome, made it feel like a race, very cool, and i guess for you who asked for it, very nice to see where you lost speed and gained speed to the leader.
redlynx shouyld consider adding this feature in the coming game, option to compare runs with who you want.

Excellent work Jarr3tt, thanks for doin that. when i get around to going back to diabolic i'll know where to make up some time
Whether this is the only vid of it's kind is up to the community. Anybody think of any side by side's(you kno what i mean) they want to see? I realize the cappers are busy themselves but maybe if someone can come up with a good one(battle) it'll happen.
I think its pretty awesome, i wonder if the devs have any thoughts on it? They've been awfully quiet lately, must be workin on somthing.
