Okay, I'm really really getting frustrated with this Underground shortcut, the one where you go through the wood and onto the pipes and along the top.

I've tried for about 4 hours total and I just can't do it I've got wheel wheel through the wood about 30 times but It doesn't launch me high enough, I almost made it once but I screwed it up.

Anybody got any tips for doing this because it's the only track I'm over 500 on (700 and something doing the normal route). I've repeatedly watched the top replays learning the technique, but it still doesn't work about 99% of the time.

The only way I could do it is by reversing a little so the front wheel goes back behind the first checkpoint.
Lean forward, floor it and pull back as the front wheel reaches the end of the brickwork.

awwww maaaaaaaaaaan I just nearly made it, got the first wheel on but the angle was awkward and I fell off

ive tried for ages too and i havent really got that close, im surprised so many people have done it makes me feel bad even though i did have a good run doing it properly

I put off trying this shortcut for the longest time. I didn't want to waste the available gaming time my lady tolerates by doing something that didn't further my skills in this game.

That said, it took me about 2 1/2 hours before I got up there the first time. I wasn't expecting it and ended up ruining the run. After that it didn't take as long and I finally had a good run the third time and last time I've made it up there.

My advice would be to "be prepared." Watch how others finished their runs cleanly. On a side note - it was fun to watch the replays of some of the slowest runs using the shortcut. I seriously wonder if some of them could zero fault Underground without going on top.

To this day, this is the only shortcut i still havent been able to get. Im not sure if this will help me boost my score with my rank in the top 60s tho so i dont know if its worth the aggravation lol.
