this exact thing happened with me. I didn't hate it but didn't dig it, but then i got the pattern down and getting all 64 was a fun challenge. On the dlc one it takes twice as long to get the pattern, and getting all 101 feels gives you a big sense of accomplishment, similar to a harder tourny like Ultimate League or World Championship....also a ton of points for all 101.

Lots of fun and points to be had in the skill games. If you don't do the skill games you're missing out on half the game. I'm not saying every skill game is fun, but every race track isn't fun either. Plus some of the games do actually improve your skill. Other day someone asked "how do you bounce" and my answer to that would be play Extreme Torque the way i do in my replay (8th), do that game a 100 times and you'll get better on judging the edge on the back wheel.

and btw, this girl i know just got Top 1000 in target hunt, saw a lot of familiar names below her on my friends list. Targets, meters, flips, rings, distance, all get you points to get ahead of your friends. Don't be satisfied with just platinum.

I'm more surprised to hear of a female Trials player.

They exist. Not many females out there grinding in the trials game. Elena2228 has been on my friends list for a little while. She's in the top 100 on the GLB+dlc. In my opinion, she's the best female player I've seen so far.
