    how to bounce?

this technique is the hardest yet for me to master, im not even close to controlling this stuff.
ive been tyring my luck on the infamous Bounce ninja track with NO LUCK haha, its just too hard, i cant even make it up the first "hill". and hte short cut fromnthe second tire in Inferno2 ive tried to find a way to do, i get over it, but hen i overshoot the small pallet before the two wooden banks. and the way i do it doesnt look like the technique the dudes with top times use.

anybody care to share some insight on this technique? how do you bounce? =)

First take a trampoline, then just jump on it and you will automaticly bounce up and down up and down up and down.

i'd be greatful for some info too - making it past the 1st explosives on bounce is an achievement for me, and i think i've got my front wheel onto the platform with the 1st checkpoint once.

this really is my weakest area on trials

I'll have to go back and play through Bounce again really to give you any pointers.
Are you talking about general bouncing from landing or the infamous back wheel hop?

oh man, i have never even made it there.. so wouldnt know how hard it is.. but seeing lestro foult on it makes me realize its no walk in the park.

no i was wondering if you had some general secret to maximize the lift on the bounces.. i dunno what to ask.. its just a technique i struggle to learn.

A good place to practice your bounce timing is on the DLC track "Pro Speedway".
It's all about getting a good landing and doing a quick back forward back motion on the stick a split second after you land.
When you land the suspension goes into compression and that is when you need to initiate the next hop.

Back wheel bouncing is much harder to do consistantly but a general idea is to have the bike set at about 45-50 degrees with the front wheel up. When the back wheel hits and goes into compression that when you need to hop.

Not sure if this helps but it is worth a shot.
Would a video help? I could capture a couple of bits and slow them down so you could see the stick motions in better detail.

    Re: how to bounce?

I think that the biggest tip that i can give is - The more you lean back the farther and higher you will go. The bikes back wheel is like a big spring (Not as much in Trials HD as in Trials 2 ) but you get the point. Now when the bikes back tire goes in to its maximum ( by leaning back more) when it comes back out it springs you higher.

Something to practice maybe, is doing a simple flat ground switch jump and land on your back wheel and try to bounce. This will get you in the motion, for learning how to control yourself on your back wheel. This is big in trials, for saves, shortcuts, you name it.

Alot of times, I find myself tapping back on the analog stick when I bounce. You need to be on a precise part of your tire most of the time, or it will spring you forward or backwards. when bouncing you want to land right in the middle of the tire, another big thing you need to do when bouncing (back tire bounce) is when you lean forward, and release lean back, after you get that tire spring as I said above.

Ok thats all I could come up with for now maybe it will make some sense
