Masterly performance
Trials HD is one of the best Xbox Live Arvade games.
Who said gamers only sit at home alone in front of their TV?
Sometimes they come together at tournaments in other cities to sit infront of the TV together. Thats what happened on April 10th, 2010 at the Trials HD German Open. It allured participants from all parts of germany to come together at Nürnberg. The reason? To show off their skills in this motorcycle skill game. Even the finnish Developers (Rexlynx) of Trials HD came to the german championship. To top it off, they sent out a three man team of judges equipped with tropheys, hoodies and flags for the winners.
(Untranslateable headline)
The tournament took place in a video game store, where three opponents showed their skills at the same time. The first tracks to test their skills on were easy tracks like >>Groundhog Day<< or >>Upwardly Mobile<<, then onto advanced courses like >>King of the Hill<< and >>Goin up<< . The best of each round had a chance to reach the final Midnight Club circus after 18 rounds. The six extreme-parcours already need an optimal joypad controll if you play with them in particular. In a succession it ends up in an disaster for the most people. Robin Scheulen (Gamertag :>>cooldiman1<<), a 17 year old pupil from Düren near Köln, didn't allow himself any faults; he made the run of his life against Jonas Meyer, a 15 year old. Only 6 people in the world managed to do this on this course. With a time of 7:36.342 Scheulen won the tournament. It couldn’t even have been even more exciting in a real race.
Interview: What does the star-guest think?
GamePro: How do you feel about the first Trials HD German Open?
Jorma Sainio: Personally, I like the German Open. It is great to be here and to meet some of the best players of our baby. I have already known some of them from our forum or from the leaderboards, but I never had a clue what they looked like. The tournament itself was organized well, and it had a great atmosphere.
A pro-comment to the >>Midnight Club<< final run from Robin Scheulen?
I have tried to see all runs and nearly missed that cooldiman1 really made a faultless run. First when he got up I had noticed that. It was an incredible performance while being in front of a huge audience like that and only having 30 minutes to complete the task.
Tero Virtala, boss from RedLynx says that the Leaderboards are the soul of the game. If thats the soul, what is the heart?
The good and simple steering. There is so much to learn that you will probably learn something new in every track. The physic system from Trials HD seems to be easy at the first look, but its really complex. Normally every race is different. Some obstacles are hard in the beginning, but then the more you play the game, the more new tricks you are learning for it to become easy. There is alot of room for improvement to get better and more skilled; I think that’s what makes Trials HD so special.

One day i will attempt to get a better time on Midnight Club, i know i can pass olli's time, not sure about cooldiman's.
All the players who feel they missed out on original Ultimate Endurance should try to 0 fault Midnight Club.
