Just to summarise this competition:
-Make a map limited only to 3 X 3 X 3 building block size.
-Can be 3X3 if you want to bring out the camera looking in e.g like a dolls house
-Can be a race track or a mini skill game (obviously a race track will end up being super short but this doesnt matter!)
- You can have the start and exit checkpoint exactly one building block space outside of the cube area
So you can get some really high detail by pouring every kb into that one space. Lag = bad though so i dont recommend making some house that explodes and destroys the framerate.
Ideas to get you started:
Due to the size limitations of the map this competition will likely be marked on your decorative skills to a large degree, or you could make some crazy physics device. As for race track ideas, you could do something like a micro donkey 3 X 3 X 3, like micro machine trials or something.
Remember its a 3 X 3 X 3cube (27 empty rooms if you count them all in a cube 3 X 3 X 3). So custom cameras ahoy if your idea needs it.
Just reiterating what i said in the other post![]()
Have fun all and good luck may the er.. best box win!
Dang, I was going to be clever and just make the room a 3x3 flat square and delete everything in the background areaOriginally Posted by AkatsukiUK
This sounds like something I could do. It's extremely simple and I've got a few ideas I'd like to put in motion![]()
A video of my entry...
Wait, does that still technically count as 3x3 with the outside-the-box ending? Curious minds (or really just me at the moment) want to know! Also, now that I thought of it, the level dimensions should technically be 3x3x3 since it's a cube and not just a square.Originally Posted by raistlin2076
yes i stand firm. the entry and exit can be 1 square out the area... i belive 9 squares is a good challenge to make a trac and 1 square in and out should make for some spectacular entries and exits..
also i disagree with 3x3x3as long as the trac is in 9 squares i see no reason why the camera cant be brought right out...
Sounds good
The size of the cube is the limit overall so if you want to have a doll house look then thats fine also by having it 3 X 3.
3X3X3 is a good idea for tracks that have custom cameras maybe looking down on the rider from up top, or like some sort of portal inspired trackwhere it is good to have 6 sides of the cube. Rules should be finalised now but any questions feel free to post in here.
Good luck to allIf possible, please send me a message along with your Friend Request as I get lots of requests daily. This way I know to download your entry. I'll be sure to keep you on my list for longer that way

well, that makes my life a little easier - i was a little worried that the camera might not fit in the 3x3x3 cube (right now i have it backed right up against the back wall)Originally Posted by raistlin2076
The camera actually fits just fine in the cube. My rider is currently about in the middle of the cube and the camera isn't getting caught on the back walls at all.Originally Posted by Reaper392
