Re: Alan Wake completed!
Its an awesome game but the replay value isnt that high. Renting it is okay I guess.

Re: Alan Wake completed!
Yea, i never had an inclination to play it but i've heard such good things about it that i'm going to rent it one day.
Renting in the states is pretty big. Altho video retail chains (Blockbuster, Hollywood Video) are hemorrhaging money to Netflix and piracy. In a couple yrs it will likely be mom and pop stores catering to ppl who don't stream or download movies. In the states there's a netflix type service for games called Gamefly which does very good business from what i hear.
Good thing about the console market is that piracy will never be the problem it is for the PC market.
I rarely rent games probably because i like what i like and games i really want come out so far apart i can just buy them. I buy maybe 3 60$ games a yr, and i'll likely trade in 2 of those 3 games a yr later. I traded in Mass Effect 2 for Red Dead Repemption and got 20$ off.

Re: Alan Wake completed!
yeah.. i hammered mass effect 1 .. got robbed of achievements though.. couldnt wait for 2.. got it. finished it 830gs and i have no desire to play on insanity, which is a shame... just not as good as 1.. but that is normally the case i guess. a big let down for me

Re: Alan Wake completed!
Got it finished it in a day. 530 gs. Won't go back for nitemare or more achs. Very disappointed. I seem to be on the minority here but I'd be pushed to give it a seven. I also hammered red dead for 4 days and finished that too. The mighty oblivion is still the best game on xbox. Apart from trials naturally

Re: Alan Wake completed!
Yeah. Got my free code but I won't expect much. 5 year ago the game would of been amazing. But today average is too much for me. No multiplayer. No replay value. Average graphics for today standard. Simple game play. And oh so repetitive. If you actually did nitemare and went for a full 1000gs you be lucky if it dragged out 30hrs. That's just too expensive for a average game. Well that's my thoughts. Had my dig.

Re: Alan Wake completed!
A game like alan wake dont need multiplayer. just like bioshock. and dead space.
if there is no setting for multiplayer gamecompany shoulden force them in.(like bioshock 2)
And if you say alan wake have average graphic you and me dident play the same game.
i was amazed by all the small detail in the inviorment, the arcitectur in that park and the ligting was the best i have ever seen.
And if a game last me 8-10 hours that the perfeck length for me.
Ofcourse all this is just my opinion, but hey, what can i say. I love Alen wake. And Remedy!

Re: Alan Wake completed!
Go and buy alone in the dark. It's very old. The controls are difficult to say the least. But the game is far far better. Better graphics. Better story. Better lighting
just simply a better game. Which Alan wake is a copy of. Get your head around the frustrating controls and alone in the dark is a 9/10 you won't be disappointed. Then u see where I'm coming from. And that game is very old by 360 years

Re: Alan Wake completed!
Also if 8 to 10 hrs is all you want from a full price game. Get gta san andreas. Oblivion or red dead/ either of them. You be quid in for years. Also fall out 3 if you get bored of them 3
