    Track total memory bar?

Why is there a room complexity gauge but no total memory gauge. It would be extremely helpful if this was available.

It's so frustrating not know how much space you have left in your track, until you get to a point to where you have to go back and delete objects just to finish the track.

I know all of the tricks to maximize space in the track. I'm not complaining about the amount of memory. I understnad why the memory capacity is set where it is, and even if we had a bigger memory capacity we would still want more.

I was just wondering if there is some technical reason why there isn't a gauge for this??

i made a trac.. MEGA HOPS and was barely half way threw my idea.. with no decor in place. and i ran out of room... apparently ( so im told ) its because i glued to many objects together... which were only logs, for legs of platforms. which i copied thinking it would save memory... anyway in the end i ended up with a very basic trac with no detail.
    still its awesome to play....

Ya I've heard that too. I'm pretty sure that it's right. Glueing no physical objects together can save time to move a complex structure or sculpture if your going to need to move it more that once or make a copy, but then you have to go back and unglue all the items aswell.

I would just like to know how much room i have left. If I alter the angle of an object, how much space did i lose or gain. I could add this one object or I could add five of these objects. It would speed up the process alot...maybe. You might spend more time tweaking objects to maximize memory space , but I already do that anyway really.

My endings would deffinatly be better if I had a tool like that.

definately wish we had a memory bar.. alot of us basically don't even really start building until we hit the limit. at that point you actually know what you're working with and the real building starts.

I always check the lag of the checkpoints to see how close i am

I use this to an extent, but it is still far from an accurate reading. Sometimes it lags more depending on what objects you used, where you used them and how. I've had tracks that lag earlier on in the editor, but i would still have quite abit of memory left, and i have made other tracks that never lagged in the editor, but had a full object or memory bar.

checkpoints lag for me right from the start, so that never works. checking the filesize is also pretty useless as when you get to about 72k its still hit or miss with the limit.
