i just wanted to say that in possible future Trials games, they should not mess with the current physics engine, because as you know its pretty much flawless right now. The perfect physics IS what makes the game as good as it is.
As some here may know, i am a huge fan of the EA Skate series also. And the initial Skate game had similar qualities as Trials HD has, the perfect physics among others. Now, EA just released Skate 3, and the worst part of that game is how the physics are getting ridiculously bad. It now feels floaty and glitchy and not at all as precise as it used to be, and not at all something you can count on in setting up tricks and stuff.
Thats what got me thinking of how precious the current physics engine in Trials HD really is. The success of the game pretty much guarantees more games in the series, so i just wanted to plead to Redlynx to be very careful in making changes to this part of the game.
and for the record, the god reference in the title was only used as a catchy thing to say to get you attention. im not into religion.
i second this. the saying "if it aint broke, dont fix it" has never been more true. i think the devs know they got it right and would be very reluctant to changing it anyway to be honest.
and as for the god reference, if there is a god, why did he make me an atheist?![]()
You can change the physics in skate 3. if you play on easy it is a more forgiving physics, but if you play on realistic, the physics is also more realistic.Originally Posted by eflixxx

You can always do better. There's not such a thing like the ''perfect game''.
this is very true, but in trying to achieve perfection you can end up ruining something that used to be, not just average, but amazing (like Trials HDOriginally Posted by crazhalo)
if they dont change the engine at all it wont really be much of a "new" game
They did that with Gears2 completely overhauling the engine from Gears1 and it was a big failure. Same goes for MW2 from Cod4, they let the success get to their heads. Like the others said, if it aint broken, doesnt need fixin. Just my opinion.Originally Posted by maliciousmike24
Gears ended up being a bit smoother, but the multiplayer was (and is) completely broken by the fact that either the netcode is poor, or that people's connections just can't handle 9 other people connected to it.Originally Posted by jhitman
As for Trials I guess there could always be some improvements, but we've all grown so accustomed to the way that THD plays. There are still very arcade-y physics for certain things - which makes this game more fun, in my opinion - but little things could be tightened up, like the spontaneous crashing on the ring of fire games, the fact that the bike can come to a complete stop when hitting certain (or certain kinds) of obstacles.
Don't you remember when Trials HD was launched, and many Trials 2 SE players complained that the bike physics was different than in Trials 2 SE, and how the bike control felt bad:

And now the best Trials HD players are capable of doing crazy tricks like these:
