any way for redlynx to speed up wall block removal

in my catapult ski jump level i'm making, because the catapult flings the rider SO far, i need to delete a tonne of blocks (20-30 thousand depending on how wide i make it)

not surprisingly, this will take me a very long tome - about 7 hours if the level editor doesnt slow down any more than it has.

i'm sure you can understand why i'm now begging redlynx to put up some update to speed up block removal, prehaps by having an option once the wall block is selected to delete 10 wall blocks in the direction you are deleting them, or deleting the selected wall block, and all that surround it

yeah i agree! definately takes way too long to delete blocks, and alot of times you already have alot of objects in your track, so it lags abit when you select them making the process even more excruciating!!

Do it once and save as an empty level. It takes a while but you will never have to do it again.
BEWARE though. Deleting a ton of wall blocks can cause a big delay when restarting a checkpoint or the level.
The more blocks you delete the slower the next block will take to delete aswell.

    What fusion said.....

I have a templete with blocks gone, ~6 wide x ~5 high x ~(70-100) long.....Done once and you are set. My finish line is about 3.5 rooms from the end wall. Fog about more than half.

well, i'd say i'm 3/4 of the way to 128x16x5 (at the beginning its 3 wide, and at the end its 7). seeing that all i've got is one catapult, do you guys think it will lag too badly in game?(i'm not overly fussed about lag in the level editor, but if i get lag in game that would suck)

Usually it does lag in game if it lags in editor. Will have slow restarts etc. I tried removing all blocking in the templete and it lagged really bad, learned my lesson early haha

seeing that its a ski jump game, do you think the lag will be unbearable, a slight annoyance, or barely noticeable?

I wish there were different texture skins for the blocks (e.g., factory, school, outdoors, cave etc). I find I remove a lot of blocks because I don't want my levels to look like they are always in a warehouse.
