getting a blister on my finger from play trials & tribulations, ****** up so many (25+) good runs at the last obstacle, that one is a b*tch to get over fast. any1 tips on that one?
same concept doin hops on a hill, bounce off the back tire over the doubled beam (dont forget to spring forward) and land on ur back tire again and boost yourself over to the finish line. this one took me alotta more than 25+ practices lolOriginally Posted by ronald84
well, it might not be the worst, but doing the bomb glitch so i could catch up with jhitman (who's also done it) felt pretty auful
I'm pretty good at failing right at the end.
On Epic Jumps, I was about 2.1 seconds ahead of my best time coming down the last hill. I push forward to maybe gain a tenth of a second, and my head hits the glass past the finish line right as I'm crossing the finish line. Haven't been able to get that good of a run since.
On Isabelle, I did the classic "Hit your head on the tube/shaft thing as you're crossing the finish line while 2.5 seconds ahead of your best time".
On Prison Break, I got over the wall and was 6.5 seconds ahead of my best time. Six and a half seconds. As I am crossing the finish line, my bike hits the bombs past the finish line.
When I was trying to get Platinum on the original Outside the Ball , which was my second to last platinum (platinum is 240 m), I got 238.15. If I could've stayed on the ball for .1 seconds longer...
When I was trying to get Platinum on the Underground Cup (which I still haven't done), I got to Unfair Bombardment with an great time (probably would've gotten top 50 on the tournament). I got just about to the end. I knocked that barrel out of the path and continue on, but it falls on the ground and explodes, and the blast knocks me out even though I'm a couple of meters away from the explosion (it's the 4th out of 5 tracks, the last being Let's Get Physical, which isn't that hard).
have you been saving these up a while?Originally Posted by NfskMjmMal![]()

I'm right there with you about losing your nerve near the end of a track and losing the flow. On the night I platinumed KOTH I took a shot of Jack to calm my nerves, b/c I would get to the back flip part and mess it up on the long jump right after it. It worked! It took the edge off and I got my medal. I simply cannot tell my brain that its just a game, its as if I am actually riding the bike in real life and I will die if I fail.
I also was building a custom track, was just about to finish and had put over 20 hours into it when the editor froze while saving, corrupting the file. I had a full on panic attack. Once I gathered my wits, I vowed to recreate the track better than before. I also make a backup copy of my customs now. The track was GRANDE, if anyone is interested, I have a link below to the track that almost never was.
I'm not sure if it was nerves. On Epic Jumps, Isabelle, and Prison Break, I had no idea how I managed to do that. I somehow crashed on obstacles that were past the finish line![]()

NO! Tonight I would have finished Ultimate endurance with 8:54... I LITERALLY FAULTED ON THE LAST TRACK.
