    Basic use of physics?

can someone provide me with like each physics device (ie; Force Rotation fast etc). Basically what I am looking for is a list of all of those objects (the orange see thru ones) and what they do and what they are commonly used for.

    Something like this

Free rotation hinge: allows objects to freely stick together;basic use would be wheels on a car.
    Dummy: ......

and so forth, this would be really helpful because I know what a few of them do but I would just like to see how to use the other pieces to my advantage like for instance the slider tool I know it is used for sliding but how and how would I use it with other objects. Thanks in advance

    Re: Basic use of physics?

heres a video by EuphoricFusion covering all the hinges and point to points. it explains them better than i could:

however, what i've found is that you shouldnt think of the point to points as hinges, but kind of like rubber bands connecting two objects.

i'd explain what everything else does, but i'm really not very good at that sort of thing.
hopefully euphoric fusion will notice this thread and make another video

    Re: Basic use of physics?

    Thanks for mentioning my video
If you check my sticky thread I have made a few tutorials that explain alot if not all the hinges (except dlc).
I'll get to work on a tutorial showcasing the dlc hinges and pistons as soon as I have enough time.
The latest RedLynx TV video has Shogun explain the wind tool so you should check that out too 'm on the iPod at the mo so I can't find the link)
If you have any other questions on how to build certain things then post in that thread and I'll do my best to make a video to explain it properly.

    Re: Basic use of physics?

Thanks guys and thanks to EuphoricFusion for posting that video definitely helped out a lot though I would like to learn about the other tools (especially the DLC ones) but I will check out your thread and see whats there. I would love to see an update or response video to this with more things involved and even perhaps some voice would be helpful as well.

    Thanks!

Voice is a no go for me as I don't have a mic to use with my pc.
Personally I think text fits tutorials better anyway. That way you can pause the video and follow each step just by reading whats on the screen
