I have tried that Shortcut like 1,000 Times and I still haven't done it yet

Best way to do the shortcut i think is to:

Use your D-Pad
When your about to go push left slightly
When your about to leave the platform push left a little then left again when on the wood.
Then don't panic, and do what everyone does at the end, take it easy
