A survey of over one million Xbox Live users has named Trials HD the best new Xbox Live Arcade game of 2009.
Developed by Finnish independent studio RedLynx Ltd., Trials HD is a physics-based motorcycle racing game reknowned for its addictiveness and simplicity. The game was a critical darling, scoring an A- in its official 1UP review and averaging 86 out of 100 on game review aggregate Metacritic. Trials HD also took home the award in the Best Innovation category.
Also honored by fans was Epic's 2D exploration-centered action game Shadow Complex, which also took home two awards: Best Solo Game and Best Graphics. EA's Battlefield 1943 was also honored twice, sweeping both multiplayer categories.

too bad it didn't get best solo too, would've been nice to sweep the whole thing. shadow complex is a killer game but honestly after i passed it on hard, i was done with it. low % runs are not my thing anymore, and it isn't as good as super metroid anyway.
trials on the other hand i still play almost every day even for just 10mins. i guess though if it were really reviewed as SOLO you wouldn't count the user custom content.. so maybe that's why it didn't get it. i have spent no time on the ingame stuff myself so i can understand the reasoning.

Well Shadow Complex is also one of my favorite games and my decision was pretty split between it and Trials HD so I decided to give Trials the upper as best arcade game and Shadow Complex as best solo.
