Surely the trickiest shortcut in the game, at the tyres jumping over the dynamite box to the platform below. Curious to know if anyone has found an "anywhere near" consistent way of doing it?
After trying this some, I can get it in 1/20.. Getting this down in a run just seems like you need alot of luck.

I didnt realise, only 2 people have done it that I have seen.
Alot more than 2 people have done it, ive done it in my run but i effed up at the end so its not in the top 10 probably still in the top 20 though!

I've done it in my run a few times too, but never actually finished the run. I should spend more time figuring out how to do it.. It can't be much more difficult that falling backwards.
There actually quite a few that have used it but haven't had very good runs after it..Lestropies run on this track is just something to behold, but when even the #2 hasn't utilized this shortcut, that goes to show how tough it actually is.Originally Posted by maliciousmike24
I find I can clear the bomb pretty consistently but that landing is tough beyond belief. OP I think you were doing it well landing it 1 in 20 times. I was lucky to land at the bottom 1 in 100 times and I practiced it alot. Eventually stopped doing it though as I knew a fast run could be done with out it. They tyres are frustrating enough

i've tried to do it a fair few times (having faulted on the tyres) and done it about twice successfully. but if i was having a great run up to that point then no way would i have the balls to attempt that shortcut.
that's something for the true Trials gurus. the Smelting Hazard shortcut was bad enough to get right on a decent run, let alone this one

I have done it a few times too, but it's always the landing that gets me instead of actually making it over. I was trying like mad to beat my I2 time today, but I just can't get it together - looks like I'm stuck with gold on that sucker.
