Does anyone know if the new update allows us to store 200 more tracks per USB flash drive? That would be super freakin awesome if it does. I'm at work, but would like to know before I get home and immediately try and fail.
We can already store 600/deviceGo to the dashboard, system settings, and then memory, move tracks from HDD to memory card.
1) DL 200 tracks on HDD
2) DL 200 tracks on memory card
3) Move 200 tracks to memory card
4) DL 200 tracks on HDD
5) Move 200 tracks to memory card
6) ???
7) Profit!
Note: Track selection screen lags, personally I think its worth it than having a 200/device limit. I have 1,600 custom tracks total.
I knew about that method, but aren't the memory cards expensive compared to a flash drive? I have 5 flash drives, 2 external hard drives and no memory cards. You know what I mean?
Holy crap, you have a lot of tracks!
I'm trying to get back down to 200 per device as well. Not only does the track selection screen lag as Jarrett said, but the actual loading of the track and sometimes restarting during the play will lag. It's too bad that the smallest a USB key can be is 1 GB. I have 10 lying around the house that are smaller than 1 GB.
Sweet. It works. Very easy to do. Now I can move em to flash drive, reload the hard drive, then dump it into the flash again when it fills up. I'll keep the load under 300 and keep the surplus on another flash drive. Best part is, I didn't even have to spend money on a retarted memory card. I'm going to keep up on the other thread regarding hosting tracks online. That could be really big.
I don't think its ******ed. You just didn't shop aroundOriginally Posted by AjuvixI got 4 256MB memory cards for $14 each (w/ free shipping) Pretty good deal for 600 extra tracks each.
Cheapest 256MB I found on ebay $18 free shipping
Cheapest 64MB I found on ebay $15 free shipping
Either would be enough for the 600 tracks. I think its good for the convenience.
man that's a lot of tracks. you must hold the world record or something.Originally Posted by Jarr3tt88

but it's amazing to think we were limited to only 100 not long ago...
I just hate the nickel and diming behind the memory cards. They put these greedy limitations into the technology, which I despise on principle. The hard drives are criminally overpriced as are the headsets. Don't get me wrong, I've got the money, but this is the way it should have been from the get go. I can use my flash drive for anything, but I would only use the memory cards for Trials tracks. Seems wrong to pay as much for the game as storage. (Although the game is unbelievably cheap, which kind of contradicts my standing on the greed principle).Originally Posted by Jarr3tt88
In your case it works great, you run the definitive Trials youtube page! You are really dedicated to making a better experience for everyone, so thank you for having the biggest cache of tracks BEFORE the update! I wondered why it took so long for you to post tracks, you've got a gazillion to play!
