Hidden cost of playing Trials HD

First off, it's not even debatable that RedLynx's game is a great deal. $15 for the game and another $5 for the dlc. Even the hoodie is a good deal due to the fine quality.

I have noticed an unforeseen cost though. I've literally worn out three xbox controllers from playing this game. Maybe RedLynx will come up with a controller made of aircraft grade materials so I won't torque the stick off trying to clear some of the obstacles.

In the end I guess the game is just so engaging that I forget I'm holding a little plastic controller vice actually riding over some insane courses. Oh, and I seriously need to take it easy on the control inputs.

oooooh fellas fellas, i got your answer for a controller right here, you can have them custom made to make you happy, yes yes i bet someone here is gunna say something about the triggers and and so on and so on, if you dont like what they got, you can take a broken xbox controller apart and use it, triggers included. however, arcade-in-a-box does custom controllers so i'm sure they can add triggers.

i thougth about making one with 4 triggers, i'd like it to play street fighter and other fighting games but i wouldn't mind having pinball bumpers on the side lol...

lol yeah i get that frustrated too sometimes, i can go through some controllers too...

but at least with a custom stick, the stick itself is pretty tough, and if you put the pressure sensitive like the trigger on there, makes it even better.

i use both the face bottons and the triggers

i like this idea very much!

i am a person who can reel myself back in just as i go to sling something at a wall. the monetary value flashes through my head and stops me. but if i could buy a disposable one then wow what a great way to finish a night of lag on Gears 2, screaming "&*%^ YOU!!" and chucking it at the wall.

or have a rubber bouncy one... or a boomerang shaped one that turns back on itself just as it is about to hit the wall...

Another hidden cost of Trials is loyalty to RedLynx. I have bought Monster Trucks Nitro 1 AND 2 for the iPod in the space of a week!!

i've never been loyal to a company i don't think. the closest i came to it was buying Shadow Complex because Epic made it (though also had great reviews) and i love/hate Gears 2. Shadow Complex was great but had zero replay value imo.

Don't get me wrong. I am not loyal to any company really, especially EPIC.
But RedLynx make awesome games that are great for a burst of fun and MNT2 is similar to Trials in some respects so it's good to have whilst out and about.

I bought Shadow Complex because it was on sale, but after GoW2 any like that I once had for EPIC quickly vanished after they banned me from their forums within 10 mins of making an account because I agreed with someone elses post
