    start line

is it possible to put the start at the end of the track, and somehow switch it around, so that its playing forward, would be cool to implement the tracks backward too (without actually going backwards)

Yes, but you have to use an alternate ending.

Create a force rotation object that smashes your front tire really hard, it will spin your bike around backwards.

The only problem is that the leaning becomes opposite, what would normally lean back now leans forwards. Tough concept to grasp when playing.

Someone has a track where they do this, can't quite remember who

    Re: start line

Mike was right about the whole alternate ending thing, I'm sure you know this from playing my irreversable track though.

Whatever checkpoint is furthest left automatically becomes the start point. If you create a new checkpoint and move it left of the original starting line, the new checkpoint becomes the starting line. I have experimented with this a LOT. No way around this. I believe the same goes for the finish line, if you move the finish line left of the starting line, they swith. Dont quote me on that one, not positive on it.
If you want a track going from right to left, there cant be any checkpoints. This is why my last two tracks have such a "Z" type pattern when going down. To get a checkpoint in there, the rider had to go further right than the previous checkpoint. I wanted to have more rolling backwards and going straight down, the checkpoints didnt work too well with that.

Was that even what you asked?

And Mike, you are speaking of my track "irreversable". To combat the whole "reversed" control thing, Murdoc came up with the idea of holding the controller upsidedown. It makes it easier, but the reversed controls were kinda the challenge of the track for me.

haha no no no, i mean to actually turn the whole track around, so that you can ride normal. but i wanted to know if you "could" somehow change the entire direction of the start line, to face the other way...

    Re: start line

If you just want to start on the right end of the track and ride in the opposite direction, you can do it with checkpoints.

Just use camera objects on the opposite side of the track. It'll look like you are driving towards where the start line would be.

like someone else said, the alternate end point. i think its cool because it makes a good use for the bailout, if every track ended with a alternate end point, the leaderboard replays would be so epic! people would be doing crazy flips on there bikes then bailing out praying to hit the alternate end point.
