Glitching wall textures! | Forums

[Euphoric Fusion]

While playing through the world championship for the millionth time I stumbled across something that really puzzled me.
Upon reaching Underground I did the first drop down and the wall textures were glitching and flashing with what can olny be described as neon graffiti and other random images that I have never seen before!
I know that BlueMage has experienced it too but would like to know if anyone else has seen this.

I took a video of it on my phone and I'll gladly upload it if you want to see it but the quality is a little lame.

I left Underground and started watching replays of other tracks that go sub-brick level and it did it on there too.
Inferno and my own track Waterworks looked absolutely insane!!!

Only a reboot of the game fixed this.
So... anyone else seen this?

Yes I was going to post this but only have seen it the once and that was yesterday when I was playing Midnight Club tournament..Went through Diabolic, then got to Goin Up and its like the background was missing but only for the first part of the track up until the second checkpoint. Grafitti is a good description cos where the parts were missing it just looked like a mish-mash of colour.

I thought it was weird, so I got out and went to the track on its own. Same thing!! Checked out the replays..Same thing again.

Like you though, I rebooted and it was fine but it was weird to see.

yep, had this and posted it in the devs glitches thread somewhere on this page.

happened to me after the big pack dlc and it was the new and improved (easier!) Ultimate Endurance tournament. all the way through the tournament. i got the achievement but it was sending me a bit doolally by the end of it. i didn't recognise any of the images that flashed up.

still only happened that one time though.

it's probably subliminal messages imbedded in it...

I never experienced it until yesterday so i assumed it was a bug with the new patch but if you've had it before then it obviously isn't.
Was sooo trippy I kinda wished it didn't flash because it looked pretty sweet

here's what i wrote on Jan 4th :

but i've had something i've not seen mentioned here. on the occasion i got my Ultimate Endurance achievement the background to all the courses with "blocks" in (you know, the big things you delete to make space in the editor!) kept flashing with different images i'd not seen before. it was like playing Trials on acid. i've not played UE since getting the achievement but i'll give it another whirl later if i play Trials and see if the problem still exists.

It's still processing anyway. I'm not sure that the quality will get any better once it's processed cos it's hard to improve on crap quality anyway

Wow!! It didn't look nearly that spectacular for me..I mean I had the same sort of thing but some of things seem to actually look like pictures or something. Also yours was the whole track, whereas mine was only at the very beginning.

If I could describe my one- When you start on Goin Up the wall underneath the first ramp was just 2 flickering circles with no background. The entire background was just like rainbow colours all mixed together.

LOL it was just pure insanity. Like I said I wish that stuff was static on the walls... It looked amazing!
