How hard are the DLC tourneys to Platinum eh? | Forums

I'm down to 3 faults on Underground Cup.. all of them on Unfair Bombardment. Two were riding across the barrels (which I know how to do), and one was after I fell down after the row of barrels, a piece of wood that broke came down hit the explosive pile next to the landing. Why did this track have to be 4th?

I'm down to four on World Championship.. all on KoTH, and all stupid mistakes. I'll get there too.. but probably not with a platinum time.

somehow, the only DLC tourney i've platinumed was the one i hated the most - the one with space station in it. i think i blew the platinum time into next week, because on every track i was very close to my PB, and at the time i got 39th place (aka, the best evep place i've had on any trials LB)
i believe i'm down to the mid 40's now, but i'm still clueless as to how i managed to beat it by so much.

as for the rest of them, i'll definitly agree that they're a pain to platinum

They are definately on my least fav list atm. I haven't had as much practice on these tracks, as I had already learned most techniques I need from countless runs on the first bunch of tracks and only had to refine some of them slightly to get through most of the DLC tracks.
It's like Inferno II, it took weeks before I could get to the finish, when I first started, but already had an arsenal of tricks to attempt Diabolic on the first day!
Also, they are near the bottom of the list and I seem to be working my way down, so I'll retry them when I get back round to them!

well its quite sad too see but when i scroll threw my friends list there not many playing trials anymore. ok always a few but nothing like as many as say just a few week ago.. i really hope redlynx have got somrthing really great to burst this fantastic game back into our competative hearts and minds

so i'm not alone with my dislike for the DLC tournaments then. is it mainly due to the DLC physics tracks for everyone?

for me it is. i've not replayed many of the tracks that have annoying physics since getting platinum, plus 1 bit trip because i value my eyes! which might have something to do with me not platinuming any of the DLC tourneys i suppose...

i do really appreciate Redlynx wanted to try something new and i've played some cracking custom tracks with mad physics. but imo in-game tracks should be built with consistency in mind. nothing more annoying than having a good time destroyed or faulting and thinking "wasn't my fault". particularly in tournaments.

yes i feel the same way as ben1bob, some of the physics stuff seem a bit random. espessially those airvents and fans bug me. i hate them all.
an other object thats messing up stuff for me alot lately is the falling car in junkyard. i know its the first track ina tourney and the falling car comes pretty early in the track, but anyway, its annoying to having to restart the tourney because the falling car blocks your path like half the time.

what are we demanding? more DLC but with less "random" physics?
