    Too Many Custom Tracks?

So I'm still pretty new at this thing and I got so excited when I started playing that I downloaded every custom track I could get my hands on quickly maxing out my 200/200 limit. What are some ideas you guys have for keeping your track list down while not getting rid of any awesome tracks? It's so hard for me to delete even one track just because I want every one I can have. Seems silly that with a 120GB hard drive that I can only store 200 tracks. What do you guys do to get around this? I also have a bunch of you on my friends list advertising new tracks that I'm dying to check out but I have to delete some to get some you know? So what do you custom track veterans do about this dilema?

just be firm but fair with the tracks you know you won't really play again, and delete them.

Some of us have used 1 of 2 methods:

Either use an external memory card onto which you load/store tracks

    or

Create an offline profile and move the tracks to that account.

I have over 1000 tracks now, and they are stored on 3 separate profiles....

Seems a bit extreme, but I get where you're coming from.

I got two external mem. cards and my HD and they're all full (200) but there is a way you can have more!
If you go into your memory settings from xbox dashboard, you can move the files around and put up to 300 on each. Two problems with this are LAG and it takes a while!
I could probably clear space for about 50 tracks if I went back through and deleted all the doubles and unfinished ones and probably another 50 if I deleted the ones I dont like, but I'm always too busy playing them to care!

CORRECTION! When you use this method use it and its amazing!) you can have 600! tracks/device.

Your problem doesn't matter to me, and IMO its worth it for the convenience

Cool, I didn't realise it was so many. I haven't tried it, I just read it on another thread a while back(I think before the DLC came out).
If it can store that many, I might have to give up some riding time and sort them out properly!

One thing, do you find sometimes when loading a custom track, after scrolling through 400 or so, that it sounds like there's 10 thrusters going off as your bike is loading?
It might be because the first track on my list is some rocket thing that goes so fast the camera falls behind!

301 was the old limit when we could have 100/device. Now it was doubled to 200/device so 600 is the new max

Yea I got like 1,500 customs or more by now idk lost count haha I gotta do some sorting myself but it takes so long managing them all xD

hey jon usually the sound you hear while its loading is from the level you were last playing/editing. if you were at a water part when you finished/quit a level, you'll water during the load.

Ah I see. It shocks me sometimes as it boosts the TV volume when it happens.
    Least it's not just me!

Ok, I'm gettin' all kinds of giddy thinking about being able to store 600+ tracks! But I'm not sure I understand how. What do you guys mean by "moving around" files?
