No worries. I didn't take it in that context at all. And yea, I was the same way on Inferno II's beginning. The slight pressure of a tournament makes you over think it so much and it makes it extremely easy to fault on unless you have a consistent method.Originally Posted by OzVoyager1

recently i've started doing these two checkpoints slightly differently, so i might as well share it with you guys. sadly none of these are on my replays, but you can try it out if you like:
Inferno 2:
checkpoint: inclined wooden pallets
start position: as far back on the small pipes as you can go without falling off
technique: roll along the pipe slowly, and when your front wheel reaches the end of the pipe before the wooden pallets, floor it and hold left. your back wheel will catch the first pallet, but you'll wheelie onto the first inclined pallet. balance yourself on the forst inclined pallet, then continue as normal
Goin up:
checkpoint: steep hill made from barrels near the end
start position: balanced on the bottom of the hill, holding right. by this, i mean that your entire bike should be on the steep bit at the bottom (holding right).
Technique: for this, hold right untill your completely in the air. basically, all you need to do is floor it from that position. however, the landing can be a bit of a pain, but just make sure your back wheel hits the incline first, and your holding forwards when you land. usually a quick left-right will do this.
i may just find these easier simply because i've got used to doing it this way, or it may be that their easier for some people, i dont know
Alright thanks. That's the only way I was able to do it. You do a pretty big bunny hop off of the first pipe to get onto the second one enough to continue on from there. I know it doesn't fully look like a bunny hop, but you do get a hop off of the pipe to get to the second one.Originally Posted by lespritdelescalier
@Reaper - Your Inferno II method seems to be almost the exact same as mine except that you start back a little farther. You still use your back tire to balance on the platform so I'm not sure it's really different enough to put into the guide. However, your Goin' Up method is definitely different and I would put it in the guide...if I had more characters to work with.
Hey mods, is there any chance that you could delete Euphoric Fusions first post in this thread so that I could have the first 2 posts?
after watching lespritdelescalier's replay, i realised that i was basically doing the same method as him, but going into it slower, so dont bother putting it in.Originally Posted by HoorayItsMike
Awesome. Thanks a lot Akatsuki! Hopefully Euphoric won't mind too much...Originally Posted by AkatsukiUK![]()

Diabolic CP 1. I know this is the first one, and you can just restart if you don't make it, but recently I have been pretty consitant on this one, so here's how I did it.
Start position: Accelerate holding forward, Then lean back just at the base of the jump (still full gas).
As soon as you get to the top of the ramp, let go of the gas, lean forward to start dipping your front wheel over the barrel, then as soon as your back tyre gets level with the top of the barrel, lean back hard and accelerate.
You might need to back wheel hop here, but I usually just drive.
Hope this helps someone.
Alright, I like this one. I tried it and it works pretty darn well. I found it a lot easier to lean back before you really hit any part of the ramp. There's also some room for error for which angle you need to be at. I'll add it as an "official" method to do this part.Originally Posted by Jonofthejungle
i've got a recovery for diabolic, but i'm writing this from memory, so please check it first.
checkpoint: 3 angled wooden planks near the end
situation: your stuck on the vertical piece of wood, with your front wheel to the right of it, and your back wheel to the left (kind of hanging by your front wheel)
technique: get the bike so only the front wheel is to the right of the vertical plank, andyour back wheel is resting on the left side of the vertical plank.
use full power, and lean backwards to flip your bike over and backwards a bit.
while in the air, angle the bike so it is about 30-45 degrees from horisontal (with your front wheel being lower than the back, not the other way round)
when the front wheel hits the nearest ramp to you, hold forwards, and continue doing so all the way down.
when you reach the next ramp down, your front wheel should catch the front of the ramp, stopping the bike, but put the brakes on anyway to make sure it doesnt roll right off.
while on this ramp, roll back as far as you can without falling off (i find the lump of wood on the bottom of the plank lines up with the front wheel).
then its just a case of getting as much speed off of the ramp as possible, doing a bunny hop to get you on the 3rd ramp, and continuing with the 3rd ramp recovery.
like i said though, please give this a go yourself mike - i'm writing it from memory
