Yeah, i can see this being an endless opinionated thread

But i do know one thing for sure...If Trials was multiplayer (2 competitors racing on a track once for the best time) then that would surely sort out who is better, because it's all about consistancy, and being consistant is the 'skill factor' if you ask me.

    Re: Different Types of "Skill"

I 'd say consistancy is the best sign of skill, but then if someone has put 1000 hrs into practicing a track, then chances are they will be consistant.
It would be cool if there was an option to play against others online and to generate a new lanscape each time, so noone could practice more than others. You would just have to use your skills and take on whatever comes out next.
This would seperate consistant riders from determined ones.

    Yeah thats a neat idea.

If I spent 20 hours on Inferno II and beat Lestropie's time, and then he spends 30 minutes and ties my time exactly, who has more skill? Our end results are exactly the same. But he took less time to do it. No one will ever know how long we each took to do it, so according to the leaderboards, but would be equal in skill on that track.

I spent way more than 20 hours just to get through Inferno II could do the other tracks, just couldn't clear that one) - much less zero fault it or come anywhere close to the times you guys can put up. All of you at the top of those leader boards are incredibly skilled at the game and to me this is almost splitting hairs. A lot of us *wish* we could play the game that well.

    Welcome to the forums!

It took me a long time to beat Inferno II. Even though you've completed the other tracks, practice with some of the other hard tracks until you don't have any trouble with them. If you're having problems with a particular obstacle, let us know.. we'd be happy to offer advice.
