I ended up doing a bunch of Skumbag customs and they got me a little better when i went back and did some game tracks but it's still not enough. I think i'm gonna take the tv back and get a 32' and if that doesn't work i'll just put my old tv back up.Originally Posted by Zoidberg747

Check if your TV has a gaming mode or something similar. Many new TVs have so much image processing that there can be a lag of several frames and a gaming mode will try reduce it and put the image to the screen as fast as possible. Even a few frame lag can cause a noticable effect and really mess up your timings. I had a similar problem when I switched to my new TV.Originally Posted by ender3
If your TV does not have a "Gaming Mode", you should disable the TV set's motion interpolation system, as it's the biggest cause of the input lag. Motion interpolation is called by different brand names in different TV models, such as "Intelligent Frame Creation", "TruMotion", "Digital Clear Motion", "MotionFlow" etc... Check here for more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_interpolationOriginally Posted by Jorma
I have the "Intelligent Frame Creation" only enabled for my DVR and Blueray player, and not for my gaming consoles. Most TV sets allow you to configure the settings separately for each HDMI input.
So i ended up taking it back and getting a 32' samsung. Picture is great and the gameplay is exactly what i'm used to. I'm gonna say it was a combination of not being used to a big tv and the slight frame rate change. It probably did lag a couple frames a sec even after i found the gaming mode setting. I might have gotten used to it eventually but i'm really digging my new tv so it's all good. Bigger isn't always better...for tvs anyway![]()
Thanks for the knowledge jorma and sebbi, yet another example of many that separates Redlynx from the average game company.![]()
