Like raistlin, I bought my 40 inch samsung because of my xbox. I don't watch much television (only a bit now because of the olympics), so I didn't really care, but noticed that I couldn't snipe on Gears of War. Therefore, I went out and replaced my 23 inch tube tv with the Samsung.

    Best investment ever.

And ben1bob, you can synch your video/audio for the rhythm games.. somewhere in the menus..

The jump to HD from SD is absolutely amazing. I remember playing Halo 3 in HD for the first time; it was amazing seeing all of the smaller details suddenly crystal clear and whew, it was nice!

Right now I've got a 32'' Electron 720p LCD HDTV and it's sitting right beside me being all nice-looking and such

I have a 37" LCD mounted above my fireplace. Works great for TV, but for XBox, its a little too high to be comfortable for long sessions, especially if I try to get closer to see more detail. (couches are 12 feet away or so).

I'm thinking that replacing it with a 54" or 58" plasma should fix that problem

Re: What size TV do you play on?

Most of my Trials play is on my 19" LCD monitor - I have a DVI switch to flip between the XBOX and my PC.

My new 46" LCD has a Gaming mode for external inputs, which streams the video/audio as quickly as possible - on default mode, there's a very noticeable delay in gaming (around 0.2-0.5s), because it does all sorts of filtering, frame rendering etc.. If you're going to buy a bigger TV for gaming, make sure it has this functionality.

Re: What size TV do you play on?

I play most of the time on a crappy 14" dodgy thing I don't have the remote for anymore.
Sometimes I take my HDD to my m8's house as he's got a 40" HD screen to play on and makes it slightly easier to see where my back wheel is going to hit and I generally ride smoother when I play there!
I'm not doing bad in the rankings (somewhere in the top 800 and 400+DLC) but I think if I had a decent TV I could knock some more time off my records and maybe get closer to the top 100 (my goal! When I got the time lol)
