    Cool Inferno II Shortcut!

Ok, the rest of the run leaves a lot to be desired (still 5 faults), but check out the shortcut I (unintentionally) pulled off on my Inferno II replay. (GT: MegaTrain, currently ranked 3502 on that track)

At the end of the first pass, instead of jumping over the dynamite and reversing down the ramp, I stumbled face-first into the gap, pushed the plank/dynamite out of the way, fell through the gap, then flipped backwards down the ramp.

What's notable is not that this is possible (seen it before, even done it myself), but how fast and smooth it looks, almost like I did it on purpose. Probably saved several seconds vs the normal path, other than the fact I smashed into the wall at the bottom...

I can't YouTube it, so send me a friend request if you don't want to have to browse through pages of replays...

Any other miracles you've pulled off lately?

thats a pretty easy shortcut, NOW try to do that and then stop on the fence and do the same thing to those bombs and make it through

Yeah, i remember pulling that off alot, but i seemed to end up going slower.

Because if i went the proper way, i gained momentum going down that ramp, when if i dropped through the planks, id roll down it much slower.
So, if it is done perfect, it might be a bit quicker i guess. But not sure.

Same level, as you go down the tyres, the second one has an explosive crate the other side and somehow, I managed to jump this bounced a bit and landed flat against the first (short) slanted pallet.
Unfortunately, I couldn't make it over to the log that time and restarted, but it would have made such a good replay!
Why is it you always make these amazing shortcuts and follow it up with a complete flop?

I managed to do this twice, but couldn't make it over the final beam in one go.

Again, my point was not that it was a new shortcut, but simply that I had a run where it actually looked like a real shortcut, not like a stumbling accident (which it actually was, of course )

Anyway, I've improved my score by a few seconds to under 2 minutes (still 5 faults), so the replay in question is gone

On a good note, I've been practicing getting over the steam pipes at the end using the "real-wheel hop" technique (as opposed to the "straddle and rock back and forth and try not to hit the dynamite" technique). Getting better, and I get get over it nearly as successfully (and much faster).

Also getting over the beam at the end about 60% of the time! Still working on my zero-fault run...

its no shortcut, but my platinum run on prison break has quite a funny ending - at the bit before the jump up to the air condenser i was almost upside down because of my wheelie, yet recovered it perfectly, and going over the wall at the end, i got stuck (rear mud guard caught the wall), managed to get unstuck, but doing an endo down the ramp, which somehow made it easier to do the last jump quickly
