Wow. I am no where close to any of you guys. I just recently cracked the top 2,000 +DLC. My Non DLC Ranks is around 2,047. It was a struggle for me to get where I am now...

Thinig is I probably had the same amount of points as you do now when I was about 350 in the ranks (around feb 2010) but so many people are getting better at this game and competition is really hot in the top 5000!
Just try and get platinum for everything and you're almost guaranteed a top 500 spot!
