    TOP PLAYERS

i play trials too much, well not enough really. at the start i was flying up the ranks now currently dlc 380ish and apart from 3 tournements i have plat and gold.. some good times too. although now 3 hrs play can mean a couple of places or none. which has made me realise just how good you need to be, to get in top 100 so the whole reason for this thread is to give my realised gamming respect to these players. it is an extremly difficult to make top 300. so i hope you will all join me in giving these players the respect they deserve and giving us all more reasons to play the game

    Re: TOP PLAYERS

I'm a Trials 2 player rather than Trials HD, but I think I can offer some words... you're definitely right in that the top top players have amazing amounts of skill, but don't feel like you've peaked already. If you're in the top 400 then you're already doing well, there's nothing to stop you getting into the top 300, then top 200...
If Trials HD is anything like Trials2 (and I'd guess it is in this respect), you move through kind of stages, where after a certain amount of time you realise you're way better than you used to be. And these just keep coming. Sure you get times when you can spend 5 - 10 hours and never beat your personal bests, but then you'll have times when you'll just demolish several records in an hour (then you go back to old tracks and realise they're a lot easier now than they used to be).

So, I'm just saying, don't feel like you've peaked, as long as you're having fun, just keep playing and you'll find yourself beating all your old reconds in no time.

I'm in the same boat as raistlin, GR+DLC around 350ish and I do agree in a way. Lot of respect for those trials 'GODS'!
I don't get to go on my xbox every day and even when I do, I don't always go online. (Pointless playing anything apart from custom tracks offline)
I know I have a lot I can still improve on, but finding the time to play is difficult.
I would love to see how many hours some of the top riders have put in, not including the ones who mastered it on a mates console, then bought it and completed it in 1 day like my m8 did!
Also I noticed, as the ranks go up, the gap of scores between each rider becomes bigger, so you move up slower in the top 1000.

Keep at it and as long as there is still room for improvement, you'll keep rising!

I remember looking at leaderboards and i think i was 5000th and i decided to try and 0 fault the courses and when i did this eventually i was in the top 1000th, then i strived for the top 100, i found the best method is to make friends with someone close to you on the leaderboard who is constantly improving, it makes you more determined to get points and its lots of fun. Myself and cl1nt eastwood have had some serious battles recently and are currently battling for the number 10 spot which i have by a couple of hundred points( he's prob 10th now lol) but anyway thats my best suggestion for moving up the ranks.

    Re: TOP PLAYERS

i was 140th in world+dlc, and i had platinum on every track and all but 2 tourneys. what lets me down is the fact that skill games affect leaderboard standings and about 1% of my trials time is spent on skill games. in my opinion there should be two seperate leaderboards but maybe thats just my ego wanting a higher position on the leaderboards. any1 agree??

Sorry for the double post but this definately applies to Trials HD. Took me ages to get that last platinum before the dlc came(Inferno II ) but now im doing it regularly in under 2 faults quickly. This is one of those games you never stop improving at and thats why nobody can stop playing it.

So true. Have a friend to battle each other with and you will climb so fast...
